I heard "hit me baby one more time" by brittany spears and "bye bye bye" by nsync on the oldies station my senior year in highschool...i was done with radio and switched to streaming music where they classify music based on year not by how old you are.😂

I went through so many emotions when I made this realization. Now I just want every grocery store to have a generation based night where they play all songs from our teens and 20s and serve beer and wine while we pick up bread, apple juice, and toilet paper 😊

I grew up with uber Christian parents who never let me listen to the radio. While they weren't watching, I recorded every song I liked. Gen X music is the best.

@@Kyriss3130 True that! I probably should've clarified myself a little better. What I meant was, during the 80's when hair bands were huge, Mötley Crüe stole the show *EVERY* time! They were THE BEST!! Of course they're still amazing, and I still listen to all their old albums, but in their current state, I prefer Mick Mars over John 5, and it's not that he isn't fantastic, because he is. I'm not sure yet if John 5's style fits in with MC. Again, it's just my opinion... Or maybe it's just because Mick Mars was always in the lineup and that's the Crüe I grew up listening to. Plus I personally think Mars is phenomenal at his craft, moreso than John 5.

@@genxchelle real time reply - my kids 12 & 4 are making ice cream right now & I’m in the living room. I let them get this old school crank yourself ice cream maker at the thrift store! I said it was old, like the 70’s old. They are SO impressed! My 12 yr old was explaining it’s older than mommy & antique & so on… it’s just ancient! 😂🤦♀️
