Discovered how important this muscle is. 2 days after overtraining ab exercises and this has become a very problematic muscle which has limited by ability to extend my hip. Now massaging it. So painful

Thank you for the comment. I absolutely agree. As a narrow hip adductor and flexor as a person squeezes their knees, let’s say during sit ups, the pectineus will become a synergist helping to flex the AF joint to complete the motion. They are often tender to massage and even palpate.

I believe this little muscle may be "jumpy" on me because if I kind of lose my balance my toes curl up till i get it back. I believe working on good balance is what going to make this muscle chill out.

That is correct. Flexor digitorum longus (in the leg) and brevis (in the foot) will flex (curl) your toes to help maintain balance. There are many intrinsic foot muscles that most people are unaware of that do small actions to keep us balanced on uneven surfaces.

This muscle really cramps the crapp outta my foot ha. I guess some cross friction massage should take it out.

Cross friction massage can help, but I would suggest rolling on a hard ball after soaking your foot in warm/ hot water to start. Let the tissues relax before irritating them with an aggressive technique.

I am an amateur. Isn't what you say is the clavicular head is just another muscle and the sternal head is actually the clavicular head making the scm substantially more medial and smaller than what you thought it was?

After we locate the biceps femoris...anterior/front of it there is a depression on the side of the leg (right above the knee), then as we move to top of the leg past the depression, there is something else that feels similar...is that the IT band? And is there a name for that depressed area between the two? Do you have a video on that?

I have been an SI practitioner for a while and all clients are in underwear. I started teaching massage classes to beginners after more than a decade and wow, all my draping skills are gone! My students thank you for catching me back up and I also learned some fantastic new tricks. This is the best draping video on YT. Thank you!
