What an excellent video, well done, it’s refreshing to see someone list SOR3 higher than SOR2. Let me tell you for the best part of 20 years i regarded sor2 as a better game that SOR3, it wasn’t until i played through the exquisite SOR remake dozens of times that i started to grow a a new found respect for SOR3 to the point of liking it better than SOR2. Also, agree about Final Fight, often hailed as the “best beat em up ever” but i think your no17 placement is spot on. But yea again, great video, quite a lot there to check out that I’ve not played before

Its just crazy that you said the fan made creators of the remake deserve more credit and praise then the people who created the franchise. Thats delusional bc without the original devs there would be no code to manipulate so the original devs deserve all the credit they put in the real hard work bc this game is their idea. Its easy to tweak an idea once someone did the hardest part of coming up with the idea so I disagree. Remake may be good but the actual devs who created SOR deserves all the credit from fans for giving us 4 amazing SOR games.

You should've mentioned the music differences too. All the original SOR games have remastered music and added music. SOR4 has their own music with the choice of original SOR music. I prefer the remastered ones, especially the boss fight music, and the poets song (the stage where you see the white house in the background).

I would really love to see a Devil Kings Remake game where Nobunaga becomes the main villain once again and include all Sengoku Basara characters in it. Also, make all the characters have their own “Devil Triggers” similar to Dynasty Warriors Multi Raid 2 game.

You provided quality arguments here. It would be fair if those who criticize your opinion to give you evidence of why SoR4 is better. Personally, it is evident to the blind that SoR remake is the dream game in terms of everything you mentioned. Maybe the new generation gets hooked by the (flash games) - like graphics to they do know anything about what made the original series stand out. A superficial comparison wont serve SoR remake justice. At least we have to appreciate the efforts of Bomber games and how they made the title a platform of infinite re playability. Another thing is that pixel art represents serious efforts from a technical perspective. We play games because of the efforts put behind them and SoR remake is the pinnacle of that. Thanks for the video, your arguments are solid and your delivery is fun and entertaining regardless if one agrees with your perspective or not.

This game was good. It was Sony doing the typical Sony thing. I can’t have guardian heroes. I’ll find a studio and fund them the money to create a carbon copy of my own then pay the media to hype it up trump up ratings 😂

The moment they called SB4S's gameplay simplistic, they immediately exposed themselves that they hadn't touched the game or played it like a Warriors game. Maybe they also saw some videos of SB4S and immediately activated their fanboy hat and downplayed its gameplay. Even right now in 2025, any(and I mean any) games from Dynasty, Samurai, Orochi/All-Stars, and their other games like DQ, Hyrule, FE, etc. couldn't hold a candle to what BS'4Ss gameplay has to offer(and this a 2014 and 2015 game).
