No body talk about the dragon. He manipulated Merlin, he wanted to be free, and in order to be free, he was supposed to introduce caos. And just maybe he was getting revenge for his own kin. I mean, that dragon was the last of kis kind. He did say arthur and merlin were the same coin, but merlin sin is to love this coin more than its purpose. That's why he chose to stay quiet, serving and making the worst decisions of the entire show. He set Merlin against those who would help. Also, when he fist ask about if there's any sure of that fate upon Mordred, the dragan said "I think it's up to you". Death is not the only way. Also, Mordred was always kind and wishing to help people, he was quickly to forgive. Merlin in the other hand changed completely and wasn't focused on the gold acceptance of magic. Merlin had turn his back on his own kin since he met Mordred and listened the dragon thread against rightful ways. He started to be bee too afraid, too selfish, too hesitant. merlin had lost his faith because of the hurt he caused for those around him. So fate can change, destiny is a journey. And there is always two fate: you can get want you want or fail, with free will or not. I think mordred didn't want to, but Merlin had turn his hope dawn. Merlin chose kill Kara. He killed his own kin.

Yeah Merlin knew that Mordred ultimately was out to kill Prince Arthur and later King Arthur, the dragon had forewarned Merlin to Not spare his life when Mordred was yet a little kid. That's the problem with Merlin he had too much of a heart. Too bad he was on the wrong side because wizardry and magic is only on the dark side no matter how you try to make it look light. Only what Prince Arthur's father the king was doing was wrong too, because he was doing it out of sheer pride. And God hates pride, in front of pride comes a great fall always.

All of those ending scenes with Merlin & Arthur at the end of season 5 always left me bawling my eyes out & feeling like I was an unseen spirit traveling around with them for every episode but forever unable to do anything but watch how everything ends. It was always painful… so painful that I keep having to restart my binge watching marathon again & again cuz I miss the silliness & heartwarming moments from before. I’m currently halfway through season 5 & I already know I’m going to restart again. I’ve already lost count of how many times it’s been since the start of 2024. I’m in no way new to this show & I’ve always loved it but lately I can’t seem to STOP watching it & supplementing the rest of my day with various Merlin videos on KZfaq… I regret nothing.

Great video! Watching for the 10th time in 2023! One of the best series! Their dynamic and bond as actors was what kept this show interesting! Wish they would consider a movie or new series that continues where it left off!
