I want you to know that this playlist has kept me going since you released it. I literally have had so many days where I listen to this on repeat at work. All day. On repeat. You keep me going. I’ve been working nonstop since long before Covid so when you talk about running yourself into the ground cuz there’s always room to go down, and how HAVENT I PAID MY DUES??? Literally kept me going. I have a double bachelor, from CU Boulder in ecology/evolutionary biology and anthropology. And I see the world burning down. And I have to just work. Work to pay rent and debts (barely). And all through covid I’ve been literally nonstop, moving from Chicago back to Colorado, then to Wisconsin. I’ve had the stresses of these moves. No retirement plan lol. And no fucking break. I want to have hope in the future I really really am just waiting for that good day.

I did the thing, please enjoy! I begin writing this EP 8 months ago when the chorus for Let's Talk fell out of me during a shower concert. There have been distinct phases in my life where the music machine in my brain kicks into high gear, seemingly as a defense mechanism during periods of grief. This latest phase arrived at just the right time. Writing melodies, playing instruments, and lyricizing has been incredibly important to me in an otherwise challenging year. Materializing and telling a story with these 7 tracks has felt extremely fulfilling and rejuvenating. I'm really happy and proud of this little thing. Hope it leaves you happy too.
