This is really nice old school footage! Was this originally recorded on 8 mm or VHS or other maybe? 🤔

Can somebody explain to me why it's so difficult to operate a pump on a fire truck. I've done it and I was a volunteer firefighter.

How many firefighter does it take to hook up 5 inches hose😂😂😂

Same problems 28 years ago as today. Can't deliver the water. Sad, actually. Millions in equipment, thousands in training, and the shit still doesn't work.

Had they gotten water in the window sooner they would have prevented the Flash over

This was a well informed piece of history. For the time frame it is a hidden gem on the inner workings of the FWFD.

The music during the restroom cleaning at 14:20 sounds more like a John Holmes soundtrack than a firefighter informational film. 🍆

11:28 he has no idea just how right he is. As a person with over 30 years as a first responder I’ve had more firefighters drive the rig than I can remember. Just remember to take your gloves off first though guys. 😂😂😂

Does that pump operator know what he’s doing or what? Can’t get it into pump and then charges the wrong line wasting what little water they have, as they hadn’t secured a water supply yet. 🤷♂️ This one will be on the training chief’s agenda for the next critique session.

It is awesome to vent the hose before you have a charged hose line.
