There is definitely too much poor behavior on Live. (I just suffered through a game where my opponent stopped playing as soon as the advantage swung from my opponent to me.) (i am pretty sure there is no Palkia ex yet, but we still may get one in the future 😛) Fezandipiti ex and Zacian are actually interesting additions, not so sure about Revavroom though. With so much draw, why not play 4 Ciphermaniac's Codebreaking, 4 Energy Retrieval etc, without the Iono ? But hey, you already know what i will recommend: the mini-Gholdengo ex Grafaiai (Paldea Evolved) together with Gholdengo ex and all 8 Energy types ! Rainbow power ! 🤪

You need to back up a lucario with as many energies to hit hard the last 2 prizes. I made a lucario deck and i been going 11-4 and munkidori is really clutch problem is damage as the lucarios get killed every turn so you moving 20 every turn if lucky 40-60

Wich is the reason to use a Mawile?
@uncomonfossil
@uncomonfossil 6 күн бұрын
It could be useful if your opponent has to run through their deck to deal with Mimikyu & Alakazam, so that they are vulnerable to decking out. It can also slow down your opponent for a turn or 2 early on while you setup your bench. But also, I just like that Mawile can be put into any deck and offers something different. This deck may certainly be better without it.

I would like to pick your brain on this one. Recently, i keep running into decks that combine this Curse blast Ability with the Twilight Inspiration Slowbro (for some reason, my dumb web browser think i am asking where Stephenie Meyer found inspiration for her Twilight novel series 🤣) Anyway, i found the deck annoying and was wondering if Toedscruel ex's Ability can stop Twilight Inspiration ? I don't think it can, but i can hope 🤪

Toedscruel protects your Pokemon, but this should not help against Twilight Inspiration. I assume this is a meme deck that will run its course (at least I hope so). But I will have to give this deck a try. I don't believe that I have run into it myself. (Of course I have been working on a Gliscor paralysis deck lately which usually just loses anyway)

i think that the main issue is nobody know how to counter Cursed Blast properly. Someone points out to me that in Standard at least, the only known ways to stop Cursed Blast are 1) Enamorus V (Lost Origin) and 2) Ting-Lu ex (Paldea Evolved). Enamorus V need you to run lots of Psychic Energy and Ting-Lu ex need to be in the Active, so they are not ideal. We will be grateful if you can think of anything else 🤪

Technically the base damage is 70, if you are behind on prizes and have one reversal attached because it's +60 for each card removed. Also, in theory you can have a reversal and a luminous energy attached, discard just the reversal energy to do your damage, and then the luminous isn't discarded because it's a colourless energy so it then gives you an extra energy set up for next turn. Neither of these interactions are particularly useful in the majority of situations, if any but knowing the tech is just fun and cool to me.

Is there anything to timing and order of effects? I was playing Dragapult, bossed up my op's Rabsca, and did Phantom Dive attack. I assumed the counters would have been placed because Rabsca is knocked out, but the counters were placed first (and negated), and then Rabsca was knocked out... Frustrating. But I find it's hard to find errata for these sorts of intricacies anywhere.
@uncomonfossil
@uncomonfossil 12 күн бұрын
These things do get complicated. There are some official breakdowns of the different steps in resolving an attack, but these can be confusing & still don't cover everything. The damage done by Dragapult & the placing of the damage counters occurs essentially at the same time, so Rabsca's ability is in effect.

So, did you manage to find an answer to my Toedscruel ex VS Technical Machine: Devolution question ? 🤪
@Birdm4n78
@Birdm4n78 13 күн бұрын
What's the question? It's an effect of an attack and Toed's ability prevents all of that.
@chenyong9027
@chenyong9027 13 күн бұрын
@@Birdm4n78 It is a question I asked some time ago, I will repeat it again - Here, try this one: let say you have a Toedscruel ex and a heavily-damaged Charizard ex (will be knocked out if it got devolved) in play. The opposing side has no effect that will shut down Toedscruel ex's Ability. Let assume both Pokemon got Energy attached. If the opposing side uses Technical Machine: Devolution, both Pokemon will definitely NOT be devolved. Here is the tricky part: what if there is Energy attached to Charizard ex, but there is no Energy on Toedscruel ex ? 🤪 Can you say Charizard ex is protected (at the moment of the attack) and not be devolved while Toedscruel ex is still devolved, or do you argue that since the attack hit every Pokemon at the same time, Toedscruel ex is already devolved and lose its Ability, so both Pokemon are devolved ? 😂
@uncomonfossil
@uncomonfossil 12 күн бұрын
My understanding is that all of your Pokemon would devolve at the same time. You have Toedscruel ex in play prior to the attack, so Protective Mycelium is active during the devolving process, which means that your Charizard is protected. (I am pretty confident that this is correct, but I must say that when Pokemon tries to give official explanation for the steps involved in resolving an attack things get really confusing.)
@Birdm4n78
@Birdm4n78 10 күн бұрын
@@uncomonfossil I couldn't find an exact ruling on this. I would think Toed would activate before the devolve and then be devolved itself. It seems to activate for other situations first.

Pretty rad to see "(Owner)'s Pokemon" make a comeback. I remember way back in the day when the Gym Heroes set was on the horizon and a "Misty's Seadra" promo was given out at pokemon league events. No one really knew how exactly they worked and I made a deck using the card not knowing that it technically had to evolve from a "Misty's Horsea" and won a tournament with it because none of the organizers and none of my opponent's knew, either lol. Best part was that the person I beat in the finals was my older brother who had built a exeggutor deck so we were both flipping coins hoping for the best.

Darkrai Vstar in this deck is mostly for the extra two Dark Patches with a possible prime catcher reuse or extra energy switches instead as an option, because item reusage is still pretty scarce in this format. The attack's not worth much though, because you need 2 Charged dogis just to hit 240, and at that point just use the dogis early game and the Pecharunt lategame since he'll hit that without the 6 extra cost on the final KO. One thing that helps Darkrai Vstar though is that Loyal Three's not too tight on deck space, it's just a matter of how much consistency/techs you want to change for the chance you get a clutch item recycle. So yeah, mostly an experiment. Morpeko's free retreat does seem useful at a glance, but you need the switch's poison and you can just play Mew EX as a free retreat on KO+small consistency, so peko's just a weird card unless you really need a one prizer meatshield you can stick in the active at any time. Also I do find it funny that Zard is such a looming threat that Cobalion as a tech is actually a really good idea if you don't want to/can't Roaring Moon. Regardless, great vid, this deck's not top tier but it's a fun deck to screw around with, whether or not it's in "rogue" territory. Though have fun with it now because the second Dark Patch rotates, the loyal three may as well rotate with it since it's so crucial to their setup.
