I called my John Deere dealer a couple weeks ago because I heard this and they told me there is no fix yet and they would call me when there was. I made a video about 4 months ago as well where I installed a battery disconnect switch on my 2022 Z950M.👍

Just bought me one Friday to pair with my ms170 They had a 20" bar on it, but I had them change it to an 18" I'm amazed at the amount of abuse yours has taken and is still running. Makes me feel like I made the right decision in my purchase. Hope you've since got that handle replaced

The dealership told me not to idle it down before shutting it off. It works. If you shut it off at high RPM, it doesn't backfire!

great video? im looking into buying 1 for my kid. Does that thing have snorkels? How's it holding up driving through those puddles, from my understanding the breather is in the back next to the passenger tire.
@rcooley412 ай бұрын
Nope, no snorkel, it's stock. It's held up well considering what he's put it through. You have to keep up on the chain tension, I neglected it ended up having to replace the sprockets and chain. The battery doesn't last very long either but other than that it's been pretty good. My sons friend even managed to flip it once, I'm not sure how he did it but he didn't get hurt and the thing started right back up with no damage. (I got some pic of the flip on a trail camera, it's funny seeing them try and flip it back up, the boys couldn't)

To be honest, they didn't get much use this year. We had very little snow. Given that, they still seem to be holding up well but I do think that's the weak point.

You have to understand that a deck can only handle so much grass capacity it doesn’t matter what engine. When you’re going over deep grass and a ton of grass clippings you are almost expecting the blades to pass through a solid surface without bogging. I’ve heard the Diesels even bog in deep wet grass clippings. Please be realistic in your expectations of a lawnmower engine as it’s not an 850 hp supercharged Hemi.

what is the part number for the side saddle bags? Id like to use them with the fuel caddy.
@rcooley415 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, they won't work with the full caddy. The caddy slides into the bracket from the side, not the top, like the bags in the middle. Maybe you can put different brackets on the caddy, but the standard one won't work.

you could prime with a clear sealer and the topcoats would cover as well as a pigmented primer, other then bright colours which usually use a tinted primer that helps with hide. The only time you need some hide with primer is when converting dark colours to light colours where an undercoater is used.

Great video! Honest review. I run two Deere Z970R's 35Hp. One with a 60" M.O.D deck and one with a 72" deck With a foot operated grassflap,same as the one that you have. I am very happy with both units. Plenty of horsepower, if I get to ambitious and mow too fast in tall grass I can hear the blades slow down a little and then it will start to leave lines or cut grass streaks behind the mower where the blades overlap each other so I just slow down a little but I expect this to happen with any mower. I keep the blades sharp and let it cool down at idle a little bit before shutting the engine off to avoid any backfiring. I also have the Tweels on both front and rear of both machines. I am very very happy with both units and I would purchase them again. My only complaints are that they are a little front heavy which hinders steering maneuverability or responsiveness a little but not too terrible. And if I park the mower on the grass to blow the unit off, the radiated heat from the hydrostatic drive units will kill the grass directly underneath each Hydro. I won't notice the spots until I mow the next week but the spots that they leave are about 7" in diameter and look like damage from dog urine but it is the mower causing it. 😢 I feel that my machines should have hydraulic oil coolers installed from the factory. I would highly recommend that during mowing that you keep the air cooling screens clear on the engine and above both hydrostatic drive units to avoid getting things too hot. Also, don't forget to remove the engine cowling cover as per the Deere and kawasaki owner's manuals and blow out any grass accumulation to avoid overheating the engine!

Open that throttle all the way. Your not giving its full hydraulic pressure. My 4720 lifts 20’ logs that weight over 2500 lbs. RPM = hydraulic pressure. Give it all it’s got!

How has the Load Trail trailer held up? Any complaints?
@rcooley41 Жыл бұрын
It’s held up well. As good as any other steel trail used on the salty roads of the North East. I hate the way the rust looks but unless you go with galvanized or aluminum, any trailer will rust where I live. Absolutely love the load max ramps - highly recommend them. They are a little heavy but that doesn’t bother me too much. 22’ was the right length for my size tractor. The 14K rating makes it expensive to register in NY, about $150 a year.
@MattN03 Жыл бұрын
@@rcooley41 how does the F150 haul it and your tractor? I currently have a F250 V10 but thinking about going to F150 Powerboost because the max I'd haul is 2 sxs's or my Kubota (about the same size as your Deere).
