Gumbel:What makes you think this was done on purpose? Really? Really? 🤦♂️
@keithvanhouw87908 сағат бұрын
ABC didn't explicitly say it on-air ..... but you can tell that Charlie Gibson and the network figured out that it was a terrorist attack VERY QUICKLY. The immediate references to the 1992 incident. As early as 8:53, they're saying Peter Jennings will be on the desk in just a minute.

This one is indeed made by Hitachi for radioshack, they actually sold it themselves in a slightly modified guise as the TRQ-701S, which is a slightly lesser machine, being 2-head instead of 3, though it does have the odd addition of a built in amplifier and speaker plugs on the back. Having gotten my hands on the Hitachi one myself, I'm honestly pretty impressed with the construction, and the longevity of the rubber components - definitely showing their age, but I have newer and more expensive machines in far worse condition.

Thanks for the comment and for the other model you list above. It’s interesting piecing the history of these together, they are 50 years old!
@steelblue811 сағат бұрын
@@davismv They're really awesome! They also share the tape transport (but not much electronically) with the TRQ-730. Hitachi definitely knew what they were doing, I think.

30:00+ is incorrect. John P O’Neill and his crew warned everyone. The Aug 2001 PDB said OBL was determined to strike within the USA. John P O’Neill is a national hero.

Fox was approved in 1996. It branded itself as being “independent” and it was in 1996, 97, 98 at first. It was so stealth how an Australian oligarch polluted our USA media.

My 5th grade history teacher turned on this broadcast when they were still talking about it being a commuter plane and we watched live as the second plane hit and as both towers came down. She remembered the 93 bombing and must have known right away that it was no accident and that we were watching history. She got some flak from parents for having us watch this but stood by her decision because she knew it was a major historical event.

It gave me the shivers when I saw the date on the bottom of the screen, September 11, 2001. Scary. To see them cut into the special report was gut wrenching. Could you imagine what people working in the Empire State Building must have been feeling? The fear?

They need to put it at the top or bottom where there is no screen.Im not impressed or interested with the weather readings or your stupid logos i want to see the actual video
