I knew them all, but two..the first one is "it's like water off a duck", but i can easily figure out what it means. ( in neapolitan dialect we would say something similar that goes like this " 'a lavà a cap 'o ciuccio, se perd tiemp 'e sapone). And "We spent all night shooting the breeze" this one i cannot make sense of. But to be fair these two phrases i've never, never really heard of them at all. They're just expressions not in use where i live, i.e. the black country. A working class area where the average education is rather low, and the local people's way of life are very much tied to the past.
