I feel like I’m 1C but I have fine hair. A lot of it! So overall it’s very thick and poofy. But the strands themselves are fine fine fine so I’m 1b?! Does anyone else know what I’m talking about?

For me it’s not about whether there are silicones or not, but rather the quality of silicones that are used. I think of it like food ingredients. To an extent an egg is an egg, but not every egg is of the same quality. The taste and overall performance of that egg in your cooking is influenced by the quality of the egg. This is also true for silicones. To an extent dimethicone is dimethicone, but what is listed as dimethicone on an ingredient list may or may not be the highest quality. The overall formulation of the product also influences things like build up potential. There are cakes that are light and fluffy or dense and heavy, but both contain eggs and oil and butter etc. One of the best haircare brands I’ve ever used is Davines, and they use A LOT of water-insoluble silicones in their products. At the same time, I experience the fewest issues with buildup when I use Davines products. Silicones are also superior to any alternative at reducing friction and protecting against heat. So, are there products out there with silicones that suck? Yeah, totally. Is it also true that the most coveted, luxury haircare brands formulate with silicones? Absolutely. I don’t think any one ingredient can tell you much about what a product will do for you. The eggs, milk, and oil won’t tell you much about the characteristics or deliciousness of the cake that was made using those ingredients. The end product has a very different set of characteristics than any one of the ingredients in isolation.

Is citric acid black mold? This additive is in packaged foods, body wash and hand soap as well

Hi! I was using this redken shampoo and it was great for my pink hair. Now I’m trying the Kerastase chroma absolut shampoo (the transparent one) and I feel that my pink fades away faster. Do you think that maybe the other kerastase shampoo (the creamy one) would be like the redken shampoo?

My hair is triangle, but I also have short hair. My waves aren't as corkscrewy as the 2C picture, but they're still defined. I'm so confused.

Thank you so much for your video. Following my recovery from covid, I noticed my hair was thinning. I switched my hair oil and shampoo to littlleexttrra cooconioon, and it significantly helped lessen my hair fall and increase hair growth. Additionally, I started using a scalp massager, as it cleans the scalp thoroughly during shampooing.

2a-2b here ❤ All my life I thought I had curly hair. My teens were horrible due to not knowing my hair type. I used anything to try to make it curly, vaseline, egg whites, vanilla until I learned in my early 20's that I have wavy hair.

My hair is virgin, i dont use heat, diy, etc... i have wavy frizzy hair since child and now i am having problems with breakeage (always had but now its a lot). When i pull my hair wet it doesnt return to its original shape and lenght. I dont know what to do... it looks like is sensitized but i dont have my hair damaged wth chemicals... do i still need protein? and what is nourishment? will a keratin treatment help with strenghing my hair? i read that keratin can dehidrate your hair and if your problem is hydration it can cause more breaking.

Ok, so what do you do when you have multiple textures? Like my hair up top is more coiled, but my hair on the sides are more on the curly/straight side. I look at all of these videos and feel like each section describes characteristics of my hair 🤦🏽‍♂️. Everyone is always telling me “you should take care of your curls” but no one ever has any helpful tips.

Would this be good for hair that breaks easily and tangles all the time? I have thin fine hair and it tends to break a lot. I had some highlights last year and since then I feel like my hair is super fragile and gets tangled all the time! But it’s not like my hair is totally damaged bc of chemicals. I had really natural and subtle highlights so I wouldn’t say my hair is like fried or anything.

I use it by moving it forward and backwards, not in circles. It doesn't tangle my hair and it doesn't leave bunch of hair on it.

My hair is type 2b-2c but when it’s oily and 3-4 days postwash then it becomes type 1C-1B 😅
