I love my Carolina dog, she's older and l don't know much about her early days but she adopted us about a year ago and now runs the show. We live rural and she's quite the watchdog, nothing sneaks up on us.

I just found out my stray that adopted us might be an Indian Pariah dog. But its all good, its a cool dog even with the quirks.

My female could be his sister, she's just looks a few lbs less. Don't know her age, she's kind of a stray that started hanging out, l guess adopted us about a year ago. Now she's claiming she rescued us, i'm here to tell you, the Dixie Dingo is one hell of a dog.

Yes, Carolina Dogs are baby friendly. But as with all dogs, I would definitely test to see if the dog you're interested in accepts your new baby. Congrats on your new 6mth old addition!

No unfortunately. Jaxson passed away one month shy of turning 17 on Dec 8th, 2020. I miss him every day...

You're way too excited about a cookie, that she doesn't give a damn about. What are you thinking? Why are you all excited about mud she doesn't give a damn about? Every dog needs a job. What's her job? She's not a indoor couch potato. She looks like an active Carolina dog.

You're commenting on a 7.5yr old video. Nobody was excited, and nobody gives a damn about your opinion. Madison was a rescue I was fostering. She had a horrible life until we rescued her. She ended up being a wonderful gal with a loving adoptive new family.

I'd swear that's a desert ecotype Dingo! That's crazy. Acts like a Dingo too. Hyper alert. Prone to over stimulation in busy environments

Are u guys still connected to/with Carolina Dogs????? My Carolina Dog passed 2 yrs ago at age 17. At this point i would like to find another one. Can U steer me in the right direction/connection to assist in finding another?????

I adopted this guy in 2014 and named him Rumpus. He dug plenty of nose cone holes for the first few years of his life, but fewer each year. Now they are a rare occurrence. My other CD is bigger and faster, so she usually beats him to the rabbits. They hunt in an organized fashion, running along opposite sides of my fenced yard and flushing the game into the middle. This guy cannot stand to be alone, and he’s glued to me whenever I’m home. Thanks to the good people in Orangeburg who saved him and gave me such a good friend!

Your trying to make a dog out of a dingo, they are not dogs, depending on how pure they are trying to house one is cruel, they want to be in the woods hunting I had one that would eat a squirrel in about 10 minutes nothing at all left head, hide and all. Worked at beach one summer girl that was keeping her gave her away I was furious that was in rock hill SC.

@@spkngrmn look at photos of pure Australian dingoes and look at a good example of what people call Carolina dogs, seeing is believing, I've taken them out of the woods, have you? Was friends with one of the first people to breed an sell them, he's dead now, you believe what you want, she sees prey in the back yard and you don't recognize that, whatever.

@@donaldatkinson7937 Appearance is only a small piece of the puzzle. There are several dogs around the world that resemble each other. Do yourself a favor, research Aussie Dingo DNA genotypes. Also do a Google search for "pariah dogs" around the world and you'll soon see how many look the same. By the way, my 17yr old Carolina Dog just passed. I've had him since a pup when his mother was wild caught with her litter. I also met ALL of the orginal Carolina Dog people including Dr Brisbin who founded the breed. So yes, I'm extremely experienced with Carolina Dogs beyond looks and feeding habits.

@@donaldatkinson7937 My dear one passed 2 yrs go, not a day goes by that i don't miss her. I never have seen a dog, before or since, with the "prey drive" she had. It took me 3 slow and gentle yrs to get her to respect my wish that we do not hunt and kill other beings. One day she just stopped and began to be happy with our everyday adventures of fun in the outdoors. However, she never played ball or stick fetch--never; but she had complete and constant awareness of everything around us at all times no matter what we were doing. She was at 17 yrs as fast and quick as the day i meet her. A part of me died with her--so intelligent--so perfect--so irreplaceable.
