Great video. I'm finishing up a square nose panzer that was restored and then stored for 10 years in a barn. When I saw it for sale, I had to give it a home 😂

Nice David Bradley. Ours is missing the hood. We were told the by the grandson of the original owner that his grandfather put a bigger engine on it and the hood would not fit.

I wonder if the valve is slightly bent? Because of the force that was put on it when it was turned over? And why it's not going back down easily? Or maybe the debri that was binding the valve has mared up the guide to the point of causing damage to the guide?

Wow I am really happy for you, big bold change and young enough to dig in easy when you arive👍 wish I had done the same. I spent my childhood traveling all over the west up in the mountains, you name it I was there, traveled roads don't exist stopped at places that there is barely a mark on the land showing where it was. Many towns are gone, the people I met or from another Century, The jokes the humor the food the civility the ethics and the health. I breathed some of the best air there was drink the cleanest and poorest water that one could have, unfortunately the trees are not there like they were when I went back 20 years ago, but they're an awful lot more people there. I miss the days when it was half an hour to 45 minutes between cars passing you while you're on the side of the road. And I really miss those people, all those old timers were amazing, so many of them had serious grit, smarts and a definite can do about everything, many of them had gone through the great depression which created a different kind of a person, good on a handshake was a deal. I hope everything goes well for you, I'm sitting out on a similar adventure but unfortunately I'm not headed to the beauty that you are, the dirt different and the seasons are different. Good luck with all you do, and don't forget to talk to your parents, they will be constantly wondering how you are, and I am guessing you will always be their kid. So they want to know how you are. thank you for your content, it's obvious you like doing all the same things I like doing, sorta makes me smile. It'll be real interesting if I can make it a go, I'm pretty old and I'm doing this pretty late in life, if I'm lucky and my health improves with the work I put this old body into, I should be able to finish my days in peace.

Jake, good to hear you are making a break. You have work ethic, skills, tools and support. The mountain states all have a lot to offer. Give Wyoming a summer and a winter then reassess. Personally, I like warm better than cold.😂 I wish you the best, my friend! Thanks for the update!

Hey Jake! I'm really glad for you, man. I wish that I wasn't married, and could relocate somewhere south like Louisiana where I worked for Exxon in Baton Rouge. I loved it down there, the weather was hot, and I had so many friends. But my wife wanted to go back up north, so I looked for a job, accepted one with Westinghouse in Framingham, MA, resigned from an awesome job at Exxon. The my ex-wife's aunt and uncle came down and convinced her to take our 2 y/o son and move to Connecticut with them. I pleaded to get my job back but I couldn't, so I had done what I thought was best for my family and had gotten screwed. I never should have left. I landed up in cold and rainy Massachusetts with absolutely no reason or desire to be there. That's the basis of all my major decisions in life; I don't make them for me; I make them based on the feeling that I'm obligated to do so because I owe it to someone else. I would be so much happier now if I had stuck with the decisions that I knew would make MY life happy. You're doing the right thing by following your heart; that's the best way. You're a good guy, not a selfish one, and I'm sure that you'll stay in touch with your family; it's sooo much easier to do so now. I'll miss having you nearby, as will a lot of people, to repair my antique equipment and just talk, but, again, that's essy enough to do by phone. I wish you happiness and success, old friend! 🫡👏🤝 Best wishes, Bill

Congratulations! I could always sense that you weren’t happy at that shop. People took advantage of you because of your age and only wanted to pay you $10 an hour to work on their junk… IMO. Also Mass is a state filled with a bunch of miserable people, and I thought it was bad here in NY!

They did out of trade school, first 2 "real" jobs I had were pretty terrible... that's what pushed me into self employment. But waking up every day in the house I grew up in to go work in the small shop started to wear on me. No progression... But! It did give me a bunch of knowledge and experience working on equipment that I'll have for a lifetime. I'm 30yrs haha. As soon as I got out of the north east and even the eastern part of the country, everyone seemed much happier! And so far it's held true out here!
