One of the history books on Milwaukee mentioned that there were frequent fights (this would probably be in the late 20s or early 30s) between teens in Piggsville and Merrill Park, and even mentioned my uncle Eddie as being one of the Merrill Park fighters.

I was a kid growing up in the Bay View area in the 1950's. I attended Bay View High School and graduated in 1967. About a year later I was drafted into the army, spent close to 15 months in Vietnam. After returning home, the city was changing rapidly, gang bangers, neighborhoods were becoming run down and I no longer felt safe at night while on the streets. In 1976 my wife and I moved north along the Lake Shore. We live in a small town, it has some problems but nothing compared to the big city. Mr. Gurda I enjoy your videos, they bring back a lot of good memories.

@@igorfarinazzo I have awesome taste. People with bad taste wouldn't have even heard of Of Montreal bro. It's just one of those songs you hear once and you're like "Okay, yup, that exists" - don't really need to ever hear it again. It's borderline a novelty song. Some of their music is awesome, for sure, but not that one. Sorry bud. Maybe refine your music taste.

@@dustyoldhat Hissing Fauna is inarguably the best album of the band and this song is as good as almost all songs in the album. Knowing a band doesn't mean your taste is refined.
