Once the brackets are placed, are they ever taken off and repositioned in the future?
@user-ft5nf9pn2v13 күн бұрын
thank you so much Dr. we appreciate your efforts. kindly, would you mind explaining the position of the bracket and it's effect on the torque, whether if it is mbt or roth? 🙏🙏🌹🌹
@Discoverortho111 күн бұрын
Yes the position of the bracket on the crown surface is really important as the inclination of the slot will vary depending onthe height of the FA point.

I dont know why nobody could think as simple as using smaller wire like 0.012 or 0.014 Niti if too high force was the problem of using 0.018?
@Discoverortho13 ай бұрын
You still create an unfavorable moment to force ratio and concentrate the forces on the crestal bone. Basically negative instead of positive remodeling. Plus too much extrusive force

Yes. This is why programming the movement is important

So how the teeth will moving if the sum of forces and moments are zero???? I'm confused 😐😐 and i can't understand this concept !!
@Discoverortho18 ай бұрын
This is because teeth move slowly. So we use statics principles.

thank you so much Dr. when we put the bracket more gingivally, would this position cause flaring or uprighting of the incisors and vise versa?
@user-ft5nf9pn2v8 ай бұрын
Dr. please, I beg your advice. kindly, how can you correct the inclination of severly uprighting upper anterior teeth with deep bite, especially if the torque spring, torque bend, RCS wire, utility intrusion arch wire didn't work and the patient refuses tads to raise the bite.?

Jean-Marc great diagnostic tool. The cuspid root buccal torques will be the most important factor in their final stability. I have seen kissing cuspids like these relapse completely back to the palate.(graduate retention case)

Same case with my teeth. Will the upper left teeth move backwards through tads? Or elastic is enough? Thank u.
@drvvij Жыл бұрын
What do you think about extracting the central incisor and 3 premolars and sub the UR3 for the the UR1? Seems safer to me because the endodontic surgery could compromise the UR3 and UR1 will be compromised after surgery with a shortened root. Also UR2 will be very heavily loaded if it left to function as a cuspid

Patient is African American and wanted to maintain her profile. We did the apicoectomy, transpose the teeth and all is well. She will need some form of restoration on the lateral incisor. Will post more results if interested.

@@Discoverortho1 I'm sure the case will turn out great! Looking forward to see what you are doing with blender and slicer to calculate line of action of the force. Very exciting.
@Discoverortho1 Жыл бұрын
Yes . This is Meshmixer. A nice program but not good for calculations. We are working with Slicer and Blender to get to where you want to be. I hope to have something by the fall. We already are able to find the exact direction and magnitude of the vectors but need to decompose these in simple forces and moments.

hi JanMarc, next step is calculating the axis of rotation, then with it and an estimated CR position we could try to estimate the force system in 3d

My orthodontist pulled my teeth forward creating quite a protrusion of my whole mouth area and lips. His intent was to remove 4 teeth then pull them back in. He didn't inform me that this was his plan and I didn't like the idea of removing 4 perfectly good teeth. So I ended my treatment hoping my teeth would return to their normal position but the horrible protrusion persists. Do you think them not advising me ahead of me starting my treatment was ethical?

Hi, I have a question. My molar was so tilted and the space on the bridge in between is small too, and the only option said my dentist is crowning the tilted molar to upright it and cover the space. Is this right?
