Its an unpolished diamond but needs quiet a bit of work still... For me the game is very frustrating even at tuned down difficulty.. Feels like a walking simulator every time you die having to walk back 5 mins+.. With so few and limied teleporting available.

Excellent video! I played the hell out of Valheim and this game has sucked me in in a very similar way. I love the progression system and it's a lot of fun thinking about what boss I need to kill next in order to become more powerful. Don't know if I'll try the PvP as that's never really been my thing. But I'm 20 hours in and the PvE so far has been fantastic

V Rising was great even at its initial EA launch. Progress over EA was slow but as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. 1.0 has been a joy to play. Got 65 hours of fun out of EA and clocked up a further 50 since. Really glad to see all the positive press about it too. :)

If you want to play PvP - no. PvP is all about whoever grinds/gets to end soonest. Gear = win. Imagine if in Rust you'd get an AK and nothing below AK can kill you now regardless of how skilled the opponent is with the gun below the AK. yea. that's V rising's PvP in a nutshell

This game is absolutely brilliant and the new stuff in 1.0 compared to early access in terms of additional content, new UI etc. is amazing. The only downside so far is that no matter what graphical settings I use the game will randomly tank, chugging at 20 fps or so. Relogging in the exact same location seems to magically fix this - I am running on an official EU PVE server so not sure if that might be the issue but my ping is consistently low. Did not have this issue in early access and my PC exceeds necessary requirements. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Will also try hosting my own game and see. Other than this issue this is one of favourite games.

I really suck at this game, no one should listen to anything I say about this game, but I did build a really good party. I used a (Paladin) Me, then the Warlock guy (Beast Mode) The vampire guy and the Barbarian girl. They clean house. I can't imagine what they could do with someone who knew how to play them.

I would like if you had a pop up that showed up when you hovered over the families (unsagined, assigned) on the top left and would tell you basic stuff like where they are assigned to, a little bit like the ones for total population but that would tell you how many fam are assigned to what industries or gathering etc.

I would like a way to manage where each animal in your village go, when you order livestock you cannot transfer them from pastures or stable slots. Once you order them, they live there. It need to be changed because it leads to bugs where early game you can have ordered a extra one and not realise why the pop up stayed and then you end up losing it even if you build another post with logs before you realise how to make planks because the sawmill is bugged and you also don't know that the sawmill needed a oxen assigned to the post until you googled why your sawmill isn't working.

something should be changed about the trading post, you should get notified if you set a trade route and the merchant gets there but you forgot to put a worker there (or never even thought of doing it because your learning, and then you spend the first couple years wondering why the trade post isn't working) it should give you a notification and tell you the storage of the trade post is empty every time the merchant gets there's from the blue point on the map.

I assume this is for the original release not the beta update

Love the tips, currently one explorer, two balanced, and three tactician runs in hoping to give honour mode a shake. My problem with this game is I get absolutely wrecked in a year tops by massive stacks of armies (last one to end my game was a 300 man army stack) and I struggle to get any soldiers to defend my village. What am I doing wrong here? It's also just normal conquest mode so nothing says I should be getting destroyed so fast

Hey, are you completely sure that the firewood cutter takes the logs from the logging camp? The description of the firewood cutter says it fells trees to create firewood. Not that it turns logs into firewood.

I play mine full Unholy with Guns. I sit in mid board peppering the enemies while I summon a truck ton of skelly bois.

Bonus tip you forgot to mention. You can use fallowed farms as lifestock pastures to further boost fertility and keep it from going cattywampus.

This video gave me an idea to try. I'm going to see if I can use the dressing screens that are sometimes found in bedrooms to block npc lines of sight. That might be the closest thing to the old bucket on head trick.

Is this game good? I love vampires and gothic aesthetic, but I’m not a big fan of top down roguelikes. I tried Diablo 4 and didn’t enjoy it. Games I have enjoyed are ESO as a necromancer, Darkest Dungeon, Vampyr, LoK series.. if that’s any help answering my question.

I would highly suggest choosing your character culture as Empire, but joining Valandia

Light cleric 5, eldritch knight 7 Str/wis stat reliant Spirit guardians, bind weapon, 3 feats, gishy spell/attack with the cast a spell and do an attack as a bonus on the first round followed by two attacks and a bonus on subsequent rounds. War cleric gets you on demand extra attacks and guided strike - 2h weapon Light cleric gets you radiance of the dawn - sword and board with light of lathander or chargebound hammer moving up to the radiant mace in act 3 Both approaches bolstered by elemental weapon from drake throat glaive All you really give up are smites that are fun, but kinda one note and spirit guardians are better spell slot economy imo as they last 10 turns and cane really mess with a lot of targets. If you want smites you could sacrifice cleric levels for it, but I think you would have fewer spell slots for it. Anyway, happy for feedback. Haven't actually tried this yet, but my next run may well follow this for a dark redemption Durge

I'm posting this in May of 2024. In my opinion... The best well rounded military I have found is Imperials have the best well rounded military. If I am using foot military. I will use Imperial Sergeant Crossbowman in mass. When I'm attacked directly, I select shield wall and have my archers fight with sword and shield. Imperial Sergeant Crossbowman have amazing melee capabilities and can run out of ammunition very quickly to begin with. If you are using Calvary units... its really Khan's Guard or nothing. I would recommend keeping them on an elevated hill then selecting hold fire and charging them with their glaives. Khan's guard can fire through their friendly units and have the farthest range or any archer, but unlike the supreme Batanian archers, they will not pick up arrows while mounted

you can dump charisma as a paladin cleric because paladins really only want the smites, which scale off weapon damage rather than casting ability. so dump charisma and put those points into wisdom for the cleric abilities
