Don't purchase crap brother, high tooth count is a gimmick. That's just a 90t double pawl stack ratchet. Basically an update 120T. Stick to no higher then 90t ratchets and the 120xp gear wrench. What you want is lower back drag. For those prices you could get something way better. Heck the newer 72t low profile craftsman is better 😅. Try out the koken 72t, now that's a ratchet. It's cheap, strong and tool truck quality.

I have a 3/8 version. Heaviest drag of any 3/8 ratchet I’ve ever used.
@scottmingersoll27 күн бұрын
Yeah I hear ya the 1/2 is just as bad as well, I own all three and the 1/4 is the only one that works like it should out of the box. I warrantied both the 1/2 and 3/8 due to the excessive amount of backdrag and the new ones were the exact same way, I did manage to smooth them out by applying a liberal amount of grease to the innards and went to town with a old black and decker drill on and off for about a week.
@gtcam72327 күн бұрын
@@scottmingersoll yeah I just have a lot of other options in my tool box. Lol Gearwrench, Snap On, Proto 90t, SK Lp90, Tone, and even a couple of Husky’s that I’d rather use. Lol

Honestly, great tool-bag. Put your Milwaukee, Makita, or higher-end DeWALT tools in it, zip it up; no one will bother stealing it. No, I'm genuinely not joking. Great way to keep your quality tools safe.

@ironclaw69693 ай бұрын
It's silly to pay the extra for the Icon when the Pittsburgh can be gotten for as little as $15 when you have the right coupon or sale. Both have the same lifetime warranty.
@sethallison56823 ай бұрын
I’ve got that Pittsburgh bar and it’s held up under heavy abuse for around 4 years. Haven’t broken it once. Cheater pipes, standing on it, using a floor Jack on it etc. it’s definitely good enough and I wouldn’t bother with the icon bars. I’m curious if there is a difference between the Pittsburgh and the icon though, maybe a different steel alloy or something?

Nice review, and very detailed. Not to crap on this, but the best buy out there on a GOOD tool set right now is the 243 pc. 6 pt. Gearwrench set that can be had for $335 (Sometimes even $299). The 1/2" drive sockets go up to a full inch & a half with the GW, and the tools are FAR superior to HF/Kobalt. AND it comes in a sturdy, usable chest. All you'd have to do is get a set of 1/2" deep sockets and some wobble extensions, and you'd really have just about everything you're likely to need. GW also makes a set more comparable to this Quinn set- a 232 pc. 12 pt. set that can be had for under $300. I always say: If you use your tools, get decent quality- we may not need Snap-On....but at least lower-end "good stuff", because if you don't buy it now, you will buy it a year from now, so just save the frustration and wasted money by spending just a few more dollars now.
@jamesfarmer15237 ай бұрын
I would have agreed with you a few years ago .My cousin has that set and has used it the last five years zero issues .I like it so much that I purchased the same set over a year ago and I have had a few sockets already chip the 15 mm and the 19 mm .I will say the 19 mm is because I was using it on lug nuts with a breaker bar but the 15 mm was light duty work .I have kobalt sockets that have held up better with more use then these gear wrench sockets I purchased.The socket look identical to my cousin set which I use his a lot with zero issues that's why I purchased the set for me .I haven't tried to warranty them yet so hopefully that won't be an issue.I know any tool manufacturer can have issues but honestly you can purchase Tekton's complete 1/4, 3/8 ,1/2 socket sets that comes with a ratchet and breaker bar and extension for under 500 dollars .
