I do have a major gripe with this skit-within-a-skit, Schindler's dual wielding Uzis, something that wouldn't be invented for a good five years after WW2.

The last memory you put was fitting, and perfect! That always brings tears to my eyes 😪 that was basically the last time we saw Neil and it’ll always hurt 😔 what that man did for so many of us and never knew it… a person we never met but probably felt like we knew personally for a lifetime for all the lyrics he gave us and amazing drum solos… yes he wasn’t a long awaited friend and we also weren’t for him but he was a “stranger” who helped us thru many tough times And still does to this day… RIP Neil Peart

God gifted us with his talent, but needed him back. We were lucky to have been touched by his spirit in our lifetimes and can only hope for his heavenly beats to be rockin throughout the fathers domain! Great tribute, Thank you for sharing it!

I was on a computer at the library the day I learned he had passed. I saw the ‘Remembering Neil Peart…’ headline and couldn’t believe what I had just looked at. I felt my whole body just kinda sink. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever forget that day. Today I was talking to a lady I met at work. She’s our librarian at the facility, and we started talking about Rush. She said she cried for days after Neil had died. It must be so touching to imagine that you can have such an impact on people you’ve never met in your life. And that goes for Alex and Geddy too. It must be what greatness is. Neil, you will always be missed and loved.

Blah blah blah... They are all best friends. That's why. How amazing it was for so long. They deserved it. They earned it. Good guys finish well. That said: RIP Neil & family together now. Also that said: Give another round of something. Loving Ged getting out there. Or just be free spirits in the shadows enjoying the freedom. Anyway. Thanks for you guys. Sorry we didn't bring enough girls to the concerts. We tried, but perhaps we were a bit nerdy (we actually had a few girls with us in Houston twice with floor seats, but unfortunately only one of us 'got any'!!! That's Rush. But we always listened and couldn't wait for the new material. You were our church in many ways no doubt.).

I can't agree to that. Nothing weak about Alex Lifeson at all. Only SRV was better Live in Concert. And while SRV could play anything and everything no effort, he wasn't working with material as vast and deep as Rush's catalog. Jimmy Page was good for a few years live but body of work, Alex Lifeson wins. I'm not changing my observation of experience.

It might be a copyright issue. This is the slow version of Neil in his later career. Saw long hair Neil, short hair Neil, then the professor cap Neil. Short hair Neil was his peak. Precision and Speed. Mastery of the massive kit. Hemispheres Tour was to me the best performance by all of them. Tight, brilliant almost perfect. But they always put on fantastic shows never just mailed it in or dubbed a show and danced around pretending. Legit in full. Not sure any other band can say that in entirety of their careers.

I'm not sure there is such ever again. We were very very lucky to be alive the same time. Internet habits reduce the odds of such highly talented musical eras ever again. You need your hands full of musical instruments not phones and clicky clicky.

Great compilation. Thanks for putting it together. The first time I saw Rush play, Neil hit one of those little cymbals, like the one at 12:26, (I don't remember the song, it was on the New World Tour in 1983) with a good deal more energy than you see at 12:26, and it flew off the kit toward the Geddy side like a little frisbee. Also - regarding Neil's comment about Bob Dylan's quote and the goal of the artist being to inspire....mission accomplished, Neil. Mission accomplished.
