I'm surprised that anyone still watches TV, commercial or otherwise. They all churn out 50 year old repeats, contrived game shows, inane gabbing early morning shows and sport which has minimul attraction exsept for the couch potatoes who watch whatever is force fed to them. Once saw an advert for sky TV, aimed at pulling in more subscribers. This consisted of football, penguins waddling about eating, shitting and shuffling about, and of course repeat showings of American films depicting America winning WW2, ( late to the party and claiming the victory, as usual). Over sexed, overpaid and over here I believe was a popular comment from British citizens at that time when the Yanks were stationed here, flashing their nylons at any woman gullible enough to be seduced by black seamed stockings. For me, that was the last straw that broke the camel's back and I cancelled the BBC's licence payments immediately, and have never watched TV since.

So you want commercials on the BBC do you? Because the privilege of the licence fee is you can watch programmes uninterrupted without any adverts. If you got rid of the licence fee you will have a BBC with adverts in every programme every 15 minutes. Be careful what you wish for.
