I've been to a fluffy graveyard before. It was established inside a fully forested area. Most of the underbrush has been cleared and there are of course concrete roads laid for vehicle and foot traffic, but in most places you are under the canopy and everywhere that is not a path is grassy. A truly beautiful place.

The army looks magnificent! I am currently in the process of painting my own dwarves, also mostly from Highland Miniatures. You've given me a lot of inspiration and motivation to keep at it.

I'm hyped beyond all reason for the new HDF stuff coming out. It's like Gaetano heard all my of complaints about the HDF and decided to just fix them all in one go. I mean I just finished painting my HDF army, but I guess I'll be starting a new one in October lol. That's fine, you can never have enough armies.

The game which provides rules that captures the essence of not just my faction but sub-faction on the table. The game that has rules not for generic weapons etc. but the game that corresponds to the lore. The game that isn't vanilla or players are carbon copies of each other.

Amazing battle along the river! I love the Caster mechanic of buffing/debuffing the casting roll with mana from other casters. It's such a fun dynamic. Also, really sorry your dwarves fell short on this one.

Love your batreps, but you need to remember your 3" pile-in and that regen can't be used against an attack that has the keyword Poison or Rending. Attacks always count as Poison or Rending. Attacks with Rending also count as AP4 on a natural 6, (they don't 'count as rending on a 6 only'). It's a similar thing with Poison. Keep the good stuff coming! Oh man your dice are worse than mine... commiserations... I feel your pain...

I think every successful rending roll was rolled against with a regeneration roll, which I believe would have made a huge difference for you in early game if the rend had ignored the regen.

Nice review. And good color scheme, not a criticism of you, but battle reports in general. Of have a bit of problem separating the different units on a screen, even a larger ones, but the hill and havoc dwarf are so different that they would pop on the screen.

Ah dang, Josh's Boss Mob (aka orkbusters) had a model upgraded with mad doc (which is an upgrade to a model and not a squad upgrade), so those would have gotten a regen roll. Also, they only have 1 heavy flamer mod on one guy. Specialist Orcs can all take flamers, and those puppetswar orkbusters work perfectly for that. And then the quality sets it to 2, and then mods change that. So shaken makes it 3. Also, the destroyer squad with destroyer captain has a total of 15 wounds, and lost 6 when the goblins hit with the rocket pistols (9 inches?), so they didn't need to take a moral test.

You might consider looking at a place like r/hungryartists. You can usually find cheap commissions there that support smaller artists. You could probably get a commercial piece for less than $300 there. When you consider that against other professional services, say an HVAC technician or a plumber, you might find the prices are competitive and fair.
