Another grand video! I explored a number of District & Circle line stations yesterday (Tower Hill to St James's) and your videos allowed me to get the most out of my time there - thanks.

Thank you so very much! Very nice video! Four weeks ago I came over to London from Stockholm and stayed at a hotel nearby this station. I used Russel Square station every single day and I like it very much! It's nostalgia for me since the first time I was over in London (1968), my family and I stayed at the Russel Hotel (no longer a hotel unfortunately) and also then we used this underground station. Not much has changed during the 56 years since then. The swaying old lamps and the old wooden lifts are gone but otherwise mainly intact since then! Thanks again! Yours, Chris in Sweden! 🇸🇪 🇬🇧

Are you aware that the staircase you walked up, back in 1976 was for one day filled with what I assume were stuffed dead rats. They were being used to film an episode of the BBC TV series Survivors. IIRC season 2 episodes 3 and 4. They were shooting scenes between trains stopping at the station.

Used to be famous as a Chilterns gap town, and the furniture manufacturing capital (thanks to the Beach Woods of the Chilterns). Over the past thirty years it has become better known as the Khyber Pass AKA SH for obvious reasons.

Thank you for uploading! I'm planning a trip to London next year and I'm most likely will be staying at a hotel near Aldgate. I wanted to see how the stations looks like to plan how I'm gonna deal with my luggage. I guess I'll have to pack light in order to carry it upstairs. 😂
