Love the video. My new headcanon is that there are dwarves (or dwarf-like beings) on every world given life by the Titans. And that makes me very happy. :)

A small thing I haven't seen anyone else pick up on and I want to throw out there: I've seen a lot of people confused on WHY exactly Azj'kahet goes through a period of decline/famine after they reject N'zoth. I think it's highly likely that Xal'atath cursed the land to make it less habitable the same way she did to Grim Batol through Modgud. She describes a "shadow falling" and depicts it through her vision in a way that implies it not being natural somehow. This would fit perfectly into her modus operandi for how she essentially socially engineers herself into scenarios she wants, in this case to give her an easy way to gain control of the nerubian empire.

Ohhh excellent point, I just assumed that famine just happened cause it's a story, but that would be a very neat detail to tie in. Even if they didn't intend it, it definitely provides a clean explanation for it, especially with Neferess having dreams of Xal'atath for some time.

as alwys the big bad has connections to EVERYBODY xD Starting with Wrath the main Villain is responsible for everything. That is something I liked better in BC since there sure there was the Legion as big bad but there was not that "one cellebrity" who did everything and suddenly the whole world was shaped by that villain. and everthing is connected to that villain. BC had Keal'Thas, Illidan and Kil'Jaeden and non of them were the "emperor of all" I like it better when the villain pulls the strings behind the curtains and his minions are kind of opposing forces with different interests to some extent.

For a while, the engineering vendor in Valdraken sold those, "Pile of Rusted Scraps" he only had 4-5 at a time, and had a lengthy restock rate, I managed to buy 25 before they removed them from live, so far those are still in my bags, it better. leveling in beta you sometimes loot those, but the best early way is at Engineering 5 you learn "pilfer through scraps" and you can pilfer through old content parts, 5 serevite bolts give you 1, so ill stock on serevite bolts, the more expensive the part is, the more Scrap it gives, had some WOTLK parts like frosteel tubes those yield 7-9 Scraps, had 20 fel lenses from legion those yield big too.

@LycrusWoW 18 күн бұрын
Yes! I was just looking at Engineering again recently, I'm really happy with the changes they've made, especially to how prototypes and recipe acquisition works. The change to pilfer through parts being basically baseline is 100% the best part. Thank you for the numbers on that, I've been meaning to look into it myself but didn't get around to it. The world treasures have also been giving a pretty decent number of parts(~20 each, 8 treasures total), so that might be the go-to way to kick off with it right at the start.

Really excited for Xal'atath. She's been established so well over the years compared to a few other "mastermind manipulator" villains.
@krzysztofczajka6752
@krzysztofczajka6752 13 күн бұрын
Is she? She was established for a very specific priest spec and then she was a random quest in the next expansion. That is totally fine but I wouldn't say she's established amazingly. Iridikron is established in a better way. I wouldn't mind her being a mastermind manipulator behind the scenes but once again, it concerns past events before she was introduced in any shape or form. I'm just waiting to find out she was manipulating Jailer. The only reason why people say otherwise is because they sexualised her. She's as bad as Jailer when it comes to writing.
@LycrusWoW
@LycrusWoW 13 күн бұрын
@@krzysztofczajka6752 Cynicism has its place, but I think you're being disingenuous here. If we condemn flavor added in one-off books as something that can't be drawn into something bigger, I think the lore would lose a lot of depth. Her quest in BfA was anything but random, it was the introductory quest for an entire raid and set up plot elements for the final boss of the expansion. And if we say that every new villain or aspect of lore must exist as an independent entity and not concern events established prior to their introduction, then every future expansion and addition to the story will look like Shadowlands. Remember, all of the Primal Incarnates were asspulled at the start of Dragonflight, and Iridikron's development as a future villain is deeply linked to Xal'atath. Also, she isn't sexualized by Blizzard. The community's perception of her has nothing to do with how Blizzard writes her.

This is a great representation of the lore presented in the games and blizzards own texts without vying into crazy speculation like some other lore channels on the site. Its refreshing to just watch someone present that information and leaves the rest for us to speculate on rather than telling us crackpot theories - so thank you.

Good video. A couple of points... a) you don't have to spec into vigor first - it's pretty easy to get to 50 and take that tree second (although it is really useful) b) camouflaged herbs and ore are everywhere - you need a phial to see them - when i use the phial about 40% of nodes I collect are camouflaged - and often the rarer ore and herbs c) you start getting rank 3 quite often once yr skill gets close to 100 and you spec first into the tree that gives you +1 skill d) druid flight form works really well for gathering - particularly in the first zone - you can herb and ore without getting out of flight form and if you get sent flying by the herb/ore type that does that you won't die....also a lot of the best herbs are in caves packed with mobs - stealth really helps in those caves.
@LycrusWoW

Excellent points! I was testing the proffs one at a time so I didn't get a chance to run with the camo phial, those numbers are super useful to know. And yeah, I'm having a lot of thoughts about how to spec for live, definitely looking at the skill tree as a priority. I didn't notice till way late that the vigor tree gives finesse, but I think they might've rebalanced the skill breakpoints, that or there was an issue with the UI. I'll have to check it out again. So glad for MoP remix though, already got a HMT druid ready since I want to focus on mining.

So glad I'm not purchasing the expansion this go around. I loathe what they did to professions in Dragonflight, gotta love being time gated out of things, and being forced to pay exorbitant fees to get items in the form of mandatory "tips" from crafters. No thanks.
@LycrusWoW
@LycrusWoW Ай бұрын
Absolutely valid. Very early in Dragonflight I had someone trying to strongarm me into price fixing, but I got lucky and could get away with telling them to pound sand. On larger servers there were cartels mass-reporting crafters that didn't play by the rules. At least there's less time gating now with knowledge catch-up, but if you do come back I'd definitely look at playing at a slightly less high pop server if people were demanding tips :/ Hope you enjoy what you're playing instead, though!

so it will be worth to have a lot of alchemy alts to get the best of those CD, do you know other professions with some CD to get the best alt army potential? maybe it will be a equivalent for Chronocloth and Azurecloth cd's on TWW making Alchemy + taioring a thing Also if it is not much to ask: how does the new tailoring bags work? you can make as much as you want or those work in a CD as well?
@LycrusWoW
@LycrusWoW Ай бұрын
It probably will early on until more people have time to swing their alt armies at it. Tailoring will definitely be worth it in the same period of time, especially if you can get the knowledge to make r3 bolts early on. The skill component is the big deciding factor, and there's a pretty hefty Acuity(new Mettle) investment to get that skill early on. Bags don't seem to have a CD, their mats also look relatively low investment, but the recipes themselves will be expensive to collect time-wise.

It seems like it'll be worthwhile to do a full rotation for first time crafts even if you can't abuse Consortium rep, but apparently there's a weekly cap on knowledge similar to Crests? I'll have to see how that plays out with the world treasures + the bonus knowledge tokens that gathering gets after it's weekly purple token.
