We don't know the exact date. SPCA believe she was 8 last year when they got her. So she's about 9.

Every 2 years remove your cats food and for 6 weeks feed it only Royal Canin Veterinary Urinary S/O cat food (wet and dry); this naturally removes the build up of crystals on all the cats internal organs (alternatively use Hill's Science Urinary S/O cat food. She might pull a face, but you have to ignore it. Two or three times a week we also feed our cats chicken breast fillet (cut into cat size pieces) and boil it for a few minutes using bottled water and then serve it. Use a pot only for the cat's chicken breast fillet and bottled water (and also a separate chopping board) (no vegetable smells)). After 1 day then throw away (or give to a dog) to avoid salmonella poisoning. Their fur becomes softer and healthier. Use a pet water fountain (PetSafe 360 is safe (has a filter and charcoal); weekly clean and regularly replace the bottled water (summer months use ice cubes and cold bottled water), and use only cermamic bowls. Plastics give off harmful toxins and chemicals. If Lady Lila is a strictly indoor cat do not use collars. Regarding the litter box use a hop in litter box (no flaps). Plastic gives a static shock to cats using their litter box. Try changing the litter sand. Scoop 2 or 3x per day. Cats love to be clean. Also use 2 hop in pet litter boxes in two different places. Do not use plastic bags because the plastic bag breaks and tears in between their claws. Lila might have had a very bad experience and may find your music disturbs and stresses her. You might also like to give your cat some cardboard boxes to play with (no plastic or staples) and spray some anti-stress spray on it. Cats love corrugated cardboard boxes, and whilst scratching they are marking their territory and naturally shedding their claws. Regularly combing and brushing your cat develops a bonding relationship especially round the ears and chin. Cats love a gently head massage.
