actually crazy how similar our lives have been. My favorite zelda game is Wind Waker, I played maplestory around the same times as you and we're around the same age aswell. I've played the shit out of TF2 and also played competitive Overwatch reaching top 500 in EU. Now i'm not back into modern maplestory, as i've got other ventures. But its almost as if you're recapping my own life. I already knew about dr. Levi because of hand pains when competing in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Never had issues since just like you. :)

I remember back before the free market with people buying stuff in perion and they would be buying steelies and i would always try to sell them steel ore and would be confused when people would cancel the trade right away.

Tiger and Curryishot were celebrities in my 13 year old brain. I thought they were so cool and wanted to be just like them. I have an endless amount of fond memories of this game. I played it for so long and it was my first PC MMO that I played with my friends. Sometimes I wish I can go back to those glory days and experience that magic once more. Maplestory will always hold a special place in my heart.

Probably a bit late, but I don’t see how trading A rank wins is faster than C in CPQ2, the per minute exp for C is almost 28k, but for A it is 17.5k. In fact I think if you should probably trade D rank wins, because that is 10k per 20s? Since you can just disband a party as soon as you enter for the other party to gain 10k xp

I’d go back to this game in a heartbeat if there was still a sense of family , meeting and making genuine friendships, competing against one another . Haven’t played since 2015 , remember watching older family playing around 2007 though .

Nowadays there are private servers like MapleRoyals and MapleLegends etc (both suck) where you will get literally banned if you don't CC after someone told you to CC. Starting maplestory 2005 myself, i remember all the KS wars between guilds etc. Retail maple + private servers can never bring the good times back.

God these videos have been giving me a major nostalgia trip. I booted it up again for the heck of it, and man its not the same game I grew up playing. Big Bang was one thing, but the current game is so different now.

I haven't had anything to do with maplestory in a very long time. The only part of maple that did persist was the music, as I'm often using some of the music in the background at work, while the kids are doing some individual projects or some quiet time. Thanks for the the spotlight that period of time, especially on a class that many of us held dearly. The use of some of my clips also legitimately brought a smile to me. I'm not sure what OSMS is, but thanks for making this video, nonetheless. ✌

I remember patch notes popping up every patch just felt soo exciting even if it was just one small new thing. Shit I was like 9-10 at the time this game was my life. I remember during a Halloween event when they had a Halloween skin over the green slimes Does anyone else remember the slimes if they were orange or purple? I remember that had like Jack o lantern faces I can’t find pictures anywhere though I remember killing them to collect candy

I had so much trouble with the zukam area jump quest when I was like 11ish I gave a guy who was helping me with it my password and he did it for me. Luckily he was trust worthy.

Played GMS since 2005-2006ish. Seeing 3rd job for the first time was awesome. We mostlly watched Korean and Japanese videos of 3rd job skills while we waited for it to come out for us. there was a huge problem with pyramid PQ where you could smuggle out the dmg buff and train on normal maps with it alien pq was also controversial as it gave a +10 attack / m attack medal, making it an unattainable BIS after the event ended drpq also had a 10 entry limit per day as it was insane exp, scaling to your character level. this I remember also being the start of dailies on maple
