One of the scariest places on the East Coast to sail through on the way upstream, the feeling of the giant tidal hand moving a 4 tonne boat randomly, accompanied by the sound of stones, sand and shingle being churned by the current makes it a daunting prospect. Very interesting to see it at low water with all its secrets laid bare - until the next storm or big tide changes it all again of course!

Hi Richard - yes it was Monday 24th June 2024 around 8pm. Low tide was at 20.06pm 0.44m - I have more footage and stills if you are interested. [email protected]
