I found 1 of these guys in my backyard idk how it got there I live middle of a big city so it's not like he just wondered there alone my only guess is it was someone's pet and they let it outside and maybe lost it 🤷 regardless I ended up keeping him wasnt sure what exactly to do at the time When I found him it was in a winter rain cold asf and wet outside I wasn't comfortable driving out of town and letting him go considering it was a pet I wasn't confident he would survive ive had the turtle for a lil over a year now it does good and seems healthy only issue is I feel it needs to be able to go out and roam I just can't provide that 😢 also not home enough to see her much so as far as I know she just chills eats bugs digs herself down into the lettuce and veggies I put in there swims and sleeps 😂 I feel she's got what she needs at same time I'm not 100% everything I'm doing is correct like should I even be keeping this thing?!?! 😂

Dude! I found one in the middle of Tehran which is in the Middle East! Poor thing was in the middle of the alley way so I took her home and she’s been with me for two years. She’s happy and eats well plus I don’t have anywhere to set her free as our climate isn’t the same as North America. Actually my uncle lives in America and has declared me a criminal for stealing an animal from his habitat even tho this thing is probably store bought. There are these fancy people in Iran who buy exotic animals to show off in the Persian new year (which was 2 months before I found her) but don’t care for them and let them go so I don’t understand how I’m doing the wrong thing😂 P.s. the people who sell exotic pets are the same who steal endangered Iranian animals and or falcons to sell them to the Arabian sheikhs

They aren’t excellent swimmers. They like to soak but they’ll sink like a rock in deep water. DO NOT put your box turtle in something too deep
