Milan outclassed Ajax. A final between Milan and Celtic or Milan and Benfica would have been much more entertaining. A few months later Milan were totally outclassed by Feijenoord.

I was at the quarter final second leg between Celtic, my local side, and Milan. The first leg finished 0-0. Milan won the return 1-0. It was an early goal by, I think, Prati. It was a breakaway and I was right behind the goal. I remember the tremendous noise of the stadium being silenced on the instant. I was disappointed but Milan were, and still are, a worthy team.

What a fantastic player and number 10 Gianni RIVERA. For me the best Italian player ever with Roberto Baggio. A great game sense, awesome passes and technique. A bright and smart personality. What a stupid coach Valcareggi : Mazzola and Rivera could play together with different and additional skils. Italy has, in the football history, the best coachs with the dutch (Rocco, Pozzo, Trapattoni, Sacchi, Lippi, Capello, Spalletti, Mancini...). It's unbelievable and idiot in Italian National team, the best offensive players didn't play together : Mazzola-Rivera 70, Del Piero-Baggio 98, Del Piero-Totti 2000-2006. Such players play always for me. A team can stay very balanced with 2 genious offensive players. 2 isn't 8. Substituted Rivera by Bertini, Baggio by Moriero or Del Piero by Perrotta is a no-sense. Brazil 70 played well with Pelé-Rivelino-Tostao-Jairzinho-Gerson. Rivera just 6 minutes in final😢😢😢. Gianni you're the best Milan player ever with Paolo Maldini.

Diciamo che il Milan, in Coppa Campioni, è risultato essere una bestia nera per Cruijff, che lo ha incontrato due volte. Una da giocatore e una da allenatore, con esiti praticamente identici.
