Do the top fabrics have been prepared in soda ash water or just water ?

That's incredible! Thank you for sharing. 😀Have you ever liquid dyed any by chance? I'm curious if that would work or what that would look like.

I've seen other videos where the put the powder on the fabric and the ice on top. Why did you put the powder on the ice? I'm confused.

Hey I want to dye a 100% cotton denim rug made of a bunch of recycled denim sewn together so there's a lot of different blues, I want to dye it into a black colorway and I was wondering if it's possible to dye it and obtain different shades of black? I'm thinking since there's a lot of different shades of blue on this rug I might be able to dye it and obtain different shades of black. Also which products/technic would you use to do it?

Thank you. This was fascinating and IMO covered all the steps in enough detail that a beginner like me could enjoy trying it. I also hadn't seen the makeup wipe done before, so it was fun to see the effect. Thank you.

4:17 I’m just now realizing how we are looking from the bottom of the shirt under the ice 😮 the path the ice took down the fabric paints a picture of the process! (I’m not sure how to describe what I mean 😅)

I just discovered your channel this morning and have been binging ever since. I love these kaleidoscopic flowers, just exactly what I'm trying to do with some of my own projects. I wonder if you've tried stacking one roll cake on top of another and then checked out the results? I bet that would be pretty cool. Probably more contrast-y on the bottom because half would be in the melted dye pool and half would probably be very pastel or tinted.

YES! I was trying to paint the ocean (acrylic on primed wood); I tried to get the color smooth & uniform but alas, it had dark “splotches” in it. As I studied the ocean (trying to figure out how to correct it), I thought, If I just put a little squiggly dab at the top of the splotch, then I have waves! “No mistakes, just happy accidents.”

Procion fiber reactive dyes are designed to work with fabric made from 100% plant fibers. You may need a different kind of dye for other fabric content.

This has worked well for me. I appreciate how very careful you were in each step to get a precise result. After making these in various colors, I combined it with the glue resist method I learned from another video to make abstract flowers and then Christmas trees for cards. Then I took all the scraps and made collage cards. What fun! Thanks!

Hi Nancy, Question: Hats are always too small for my big head! How do you get the right measurement across so it isn't so small it pops off your head but is not so big it falls off? Ps I LOVE your cooky theme tune, it really made me laugh!!!
@NancyGamon5 ай бұрын
Hi Rosalind, I'd suggest styling your hair the way it would likely be when you're wearing the hat. Then use a flexible measuring tape to measure your head at the place you want your hat to rest, at the level of comfort/fit you want to feel with it on. I hope this helps. Thanks for your nice comment!

Terrible directions. Is there a lining too.
@NancyGamon11 ай бұрын
The case is made up of three layers: the decorative outer fabric, a soft middle layer of batting or padding, and a heat resistant inner lining (ironing board fabric). The middle divider is made of the lining fabric as well.

Is 14 x16 or 16x 8.5?
@NancyGamon11 ай бұрын
When the case is open, it is 16" long x 8.5" high. When the case is closed, it is 16" long x 5.5" high.
