I’ve seen the movie so many times I can actually picture all the scenes as they talk about it. 😂

Just stumbled into this vid. John Cale and Nick Cave - totally awesome. Chrissie Hynde has the loveliest, most supple female voice in rock and roll. And when she did "Kid" (14:00) I completely lost it. Thank you!

"The 4K disc in the Prometheus package carries two commentary tracks: one by Ridley Scott, and one by writers Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof. The Scott one gets off to a shaky start by talking right away by 3D - even though there’s no 3D version of the film in the 4K package! And then he just explains the opening scene, even though we can all figure out what’s happening for ourselves. Fortunately things pick up after that, as Scott talks us through the themes and ideas that underlie some of the scenes, ideas and characters. As with his Alien: Covenant commentary track, though, there’s precious little talk about the actual filming process. This seems a pity to me - especially since his focus on the film’s story ideas does lead to a few other moments of Scott just telling us stuff we’d already figured out for ourselves. *The second commentary featuring the film’s two screenwriters is much more interesting,* particularly when it focuses on the challenges of the screenwriting process, the way the script changed over time, and the input Ridley Scott had on things - especially during the edit. The commentary is edited together from separate Spaihts and Lindelof commentaries; the two weren’t in a room together. Initially this feels a bit awkward, but you get used to it. And it does mean you get a steady flow of information rather than time being wasted with banter between the two. It also means (hopefully!) that we’ve ended up getting the best bits from each commentary"

Im like the biggest Nick fan, but i love that there's all this testosterone flying cross the room with Nick being amazing and loving John, the John feeling like he has to punk up his vibe for Nick, and Chrissie is just over here like aw shucks I'm gonna have an amazing timbre, great chops and simple, pretty punk era songwriting skills, and she tosses it off like "shit i hope that was good enough". She's so great, hahaha.
