Happy I found your channel, I tried out studio one recently and was impressed at the quality of composition in the demo. Usually DAW demos are boring techno but I was pleased to find that this one had some really interesting ideas! I already spent a while digging through the project file but seeing you break down the harmonies is awesome.

Keep doing your great work, you have a big heart, you are doing a great service to the music community, we need to be like you and show our big heart and make the music community grow big and bring in new people in this community, it can seriously change people's lives, I'm a new singer who has been looking for desperately for ear training because I'm not sure as singer what kind of ear training is required.
@maxkonyi23 сағат бұрын
Thanks! Regarding ear training for singing, the most important thing is just to sing a lot. In time it will be come clear what things you need to train, if any. Many singers go their whole career without any dedicated ear training practice, which isn't to say it can't be very helpful, but it depends a lot on who you are and what your goals are.
@timorochademacher1080Күн бұрын
This is not a really a training. Its more of a repetition of your long stream, which i've seen. Way too much bla bla for me to be an ear training... (still i like your method)

This was pretty illuminating. I got all of the ones in this video but after watching I tried to hum the tonic in some of my favorite songs and got them all wrong 😂 people play with the key a lot in the real world ig. I’m a 16 yr old violinist and trying to get into music theory, this is the first I’ve really seen about ear training and I really liked it

When it comes to feeling, I have benefited in an immense way from studying Indian classical music. Look up Navtej Singh who teaches masterly. I have learned from him in 4 months what would have taken 10 years. Hard to explain but you will thank me a billions. Navtej Singh also plays amazing harmonium you will most definitely enjoy if you are music lover.

I’m trying to pass my ear test, where I have to identify intervals. Any tips?
@maxkonyi23 сағат бұрын
For training melodic and harmonic intervals, you can use an app like Complete Ear Trainer, as well as practicing on your instrument. It's truly just a matter of repetition and being conscious about what you're hearing.

Hey Max. Would you please explain how your computer is set up? Are You PC or MAC based? On my computer (PC) - Serum and Omnisphere just once on my computer - is a strain. My "C" drive is filling up. I like Toontrack, Spitfire and Native Instruments as well. Do you use external drives? What's on your "C" drive and your external drives. What is the size of your "C" drive? Mine is 1 TB.
@maxkonyi2 күн бұрын
I'm on a custom built PC. I have multiple internal M.2 drives as well as multiple external drives. All project files live on a separate drive. Plugins and DAW live on the C drive. Best to keep that drive as clear and simple as possible. Distribute the read/write load across multiple drives. Most importantly, make sure you have a strong, modern CPU and enough RAM. I run 64gb of DDR5 RAM, which is overkill for most things. 32gb should be fine unless you have big sessions with many heavy, sample-based instruments. My CPU is a 14700k, which is very high-end, but I was on a 9900k for a long time and I had no issues in normal usage.

Trying hard is the problem. Have you seen my other video - The Secret of Ear Training?

I have a hard time with Level 2: Chords Progressions, because when I try and resolve it, it comes out as the soprano note of that chord, for example C (I) F (IV) G (V) then when I hum the C chord, it comes out as a G note.
@maxkonyi3 күн бұрын
This is just practice. Repeat the exercise a little everyday. If you're correct, cool. If not, find the right now and repeat the exercise, singing the right note and then move on.
