You should just write C++ as if it was C with overload and templates.

I helped with a macro to enable authoritative servers for an RPC library written in Nim. All the actual netcode works on a custom implementation of UDP that keeps the packets in order and resends dropped packets. It works pretty damn well. It’s actually insane; the macro creates all the boilerplate on the client and server so that a client can call server functions and the server can call client functions. The dude who wrote the base library is a very smart dude, I learned a ton

suggestion: the eye should look at those walls when they have visible text. this would add to the whole thing of the eye reading them, and on the mode with hints enabled it could make sense

I strongly disagree with you. Mainly because this game design was NOT your work. You were game engine programmer. Not a game designer (in the vast sense of what a game designer is). It is not your work to think on the best and funnier core mechanics, nor the most addictive levels so that the player can be "hooked" to the game. These tasks are for other heavy duty people... the game designers. NOT you. And the engine design, by the way, is the interesting part of the... ENGINE. Which is great. You were worried for answer a lot of questions that were important for a game engine programmer, one who was playing to be a game designer as far as I can relate. In conclussion: let designers keep playing to which are best (designers) and you keep playing to which you are the best: A GOD. 🦾
