Thanks good video . My first MJ I even used it on a lite internet when my carrier offered it. Then they switched to the regular service for the same price. I never had any issues with my MJ even on the lite internet service. 73

I bought a very small, flip top trash can with a box of liners. When it becomes full, just tie the pull strings and drop the bag in the outside trash can. It beats a one-ton ball of wipes such as clogged up the sewer in England!

A $1.00 bamboo back scratcher, cut to length, works for me with tissue wrapped on curved end which removes easily. It is portable about 6 to 8 inches long.

hello you have not mentioned the most obvious solution,in a lot of asian countrys they use a bum gun it;s a small hand held spray which is very easy to use and fixes to the side of the toilet a plumber can put one in very easily l call it my poor man's bidet

Bidet for 500$ ? Lord, mine was less than 300 , made by Kohler and I ordered it on Amazon. I can have variations in warm water, dryer, heated seat, and couple other options. I’m happy with mine. I used a plumber. I needed a plumber for some other issue so the cost wasn’t bad. but a family member or friend that can get down on the floor can install it.

Another suggestion is a sinus rinse plastic squeeze bottle. It directs the spray upward when held vertically. I keep one next to my toilet and use from the front.that way I am "wiping" front to back. Buy a two pack at Costco. Neil Med brand. Walgreens has single pack.

Get a Japanese toilet they have bidets built into them and have heated seats and water. It’s the best way to clean. Need electrical connection.

This is a very helpful video. It would seem for the most part the bidet or portable bidet would be the simplest and most efficient way for seniors and the elderly to continue their own hygiene. I wish I had thought of it for my 88 year old mom. She struggled with the bathroom buddy (wand) occasionally, but it did give her some independence, which she was fierce about keeping as long and as much as possible! I think these were some great suggestions! I must say I did get a bit of a giggle @2:50 where it listed "useful during periods." I realize some women have periods later in life, but for some reason it gave me a laugh! ☺

I am almost 70, and happy that I still have the flexibility and stamina of a much younger person. However, for number two, I use moistened eco and no fragrance wipes because they do a better job. Also since changing my diet to a more carnivore and almost eliminating all excess carbs/sugars things coming out from my body do not leave too much of a trace, which makes it a lot easier and less expensive. I use less toilet paper and mostly to lightly pat dry after pee. While I wash my hands I let things air dry for a couple of minutes, which is better for that sensitive skin. This works for my present situation; however, always check with dr for dietary changes. I do not have a tendency to become constipated and I drink plenty of water. The majority of elderly avoid drinking water; this is my experience as a nurse. I have been thinking on a bidet for a while too. I may need one in the future, but so far so good on that department. Good advice given!

A hand held bidet is the best, it hooks to the sink in the bathroom. The item that is the most useless waste of time is the Magic Wand that holds the tissue paper, it is completely worthless, don't bother with it. The hand held bidet is between 30- 80 dollars, a real bidet is 700-800 to install. I tried all these things when I had back surgery.

um, when covid hit, i bought a bidet online for each of our three toilets. then each cost UNDER $40 that's forty dollars, NOT four hundred!! my son installed them each in under 15 minutes. cold water only, but i did buy a hot water valve attachment for mine LOL. do your research!! there is often funding available for the elderly and disabled for this issue.

Nice presentation. We are graying somewhat gracefully. We've been using those little radios while working outside and they work quite well. Also they are more than capable of covering an estate sale, keeping track of kids in a park, ball game or carnival. Nice little radios. 👍

In Asia a butt washer is typical. It's the same item used at kitchen sinks to rinse off dishes. It's easy to install/ cheap/ and efficient.
