So with the 2.5 Johnson rods does that make the suspension in Access mode as high as used to be and off-road as high as extended mode? I'm just mostly curious mainly if off-road hype extends the bags to Extended mode now
@FarReachFR11 күн бұрын
Basically yes. It bumps all your modes up.

Top Tip - that RF antennae that hangs down - extend that with some smaller gauge wire out of the garage or at least along the ceiling and your range will be extended. Just did this myself, and I have a cheap set of LED lights.

Is there any way to lock it in off-road height (highest setting)
@FarReachFR19 күн бұрын
Best way if you want it in off-road height all the time, is simply to swap in some lifting rods/johnson rods. Its super simple. And will give you an even potentially higher offroad setting when you want it. They run about $100. I have a set on my kitchen counter right now if you want to give it a go.

I had a mechanic come to my house to do a brake change. The right front brake was different than the left front. The brake pad wear sensor was part of the ABS wheel speed cable harness. There is no clip to remove the brake pad sensor. Have you ever seen that before? Now I am driving around having to look at the indicator that the break needs to be changed because I cannot find an ABS wheel speed harness that has the brake pad wear sensor hard wired into it. ???

Whats the make and name of those black wheels on the discovery and what size tyres are on them , and will they fit on a discovery 4 thanks
@FarReachFRАй бұрын
The black rims are BMW - 162. They are staggered. Fronts are 18x8 with 34 offset. Rears are 18x8.5 with 37 offset. Rims are 18 inch. The tires are 275/65/18 Falken Wildpeaks. Do they fit on a discovery 4 - The answer is YES BUT. You can see they are on an LR4 in the video, which is the same as a Discovery 4, BUT BUT, I had to grind away a couple millimeters of the brake caliper to get them to fit over the brakes. So, technically. No they did not fit originally. Note you will also need a Lug kit to bolt them to the Discovery. You can find it here: amzn.to/3lcte29

Why not greese it before you put it back on
@FarReachFRАй бұрын
The hub/wheel bearing itself is a sealed assembly. It is pregreased if you will, and has no zerk fittings or other points for grease injection.

So are you saying 19" rims with 275/65R19 tires will work and not rub after installing the 2 1/2" lift rods. Or what did you mean by if we used 19" wheels, we would be in a lot better situation? Would i have to use an entirely different size tire to fit with the 19" wheels and not rub? And what size All terrian tire would work best?
@FarReachFRАй бұрын
Tire size matters with rubbing the tire on the body. BUT The reference to 19 inch rims was all about scraping the brakes. 18 inch rims actually were so small that they hit the Brake Calipers. Having a -19 inch rim, would make it easier to clear the brake calipers. (But you would still have to recalculate the size of the tires)
@FarReachFRАй бұрын
also be aware that 275/65R19 Tires are actually Bigger than 275/65R18 Tires. And would be expected to be more likely to rub, certainly in the front.

Hello.. how do you make the botle head stuck in the cable tie and not falling further down
@FarReachFRАй бұрын
The tube that is stuck inside the bottle is not completely uniform. It is partially melted and then squashed outward slightly, making it flare outward a bit, which increases its diameter. The increase in diameter is what stops it from falling further down. (as well as creates the seal)

Is there any reason why you couldn’t T the 2 new supply lines together so that 1 Schrader valve would feed both side simultaneously? That way both side would always have equal pressure.
@FarReachFR2 ай бұрын
You could and it would likely work reasonably fine. That said technically depending on loading the left and right could be under different weights. For example if you have a driver and not a passenger, and thus require slightly different pressures to level the vehicle. This is why LR measures and modulates each corner.

How Dow you lock it back in place? Having problems with mine not locking??
@FarReachFR2 ай бұрын
The front of the seat slides in first. Then the rear of the seat is pressed down to latch. If you are doing this and its not locking/latching, it could be that the lock itself (spring or tumbler) is sticking. Try some WD40 on it the locking mechanisms. Also you can try to manually close the lock with the key while you have it pressed into position. Hope this helps
