Don’t be nervous! You can do it! I was nervous too the first time I made a pecan pie but it actually turned out! (I don’t eat pecan pie either:) The purpose of ice water is so that the flour forms gluten:) Good Luck 🍀

My dad loved these. He ate them for a snack. He opened them and broke them up with a fork. Added fresh lemon juice and put the herring on saltines. Us kids all loved it. Older now and eating healthy. Happy to see a favorite with so many vitamins etc. I eat the Brunswick or King Oscar almost every night. My dog loves them too

Northern style German potato salad is made with mayo or creamy. Southern style German potato salad has a vinegar based dressing, I do believe. This recipe is one that my German grandmother made when I was young…there are so many different potato salad recipes and each family seems to have their own variety.

Use white wine or cider vinegar...and a Hell of a lot less sugar! American tastes I know but I just checked an actual German recipe [in German ] and for a kilo of potato [3 cups is about 675gm] they use 1/2 the vinegar and just a "prise", a pinch, of sugar.

Trig's Smokehouse Brat's are easily the world's best brats, which by the way, is the name of their award winning brat. They are delicious and put all others to shame. May I suggest that in your next next video you show the brats thawed rather than frozen. Even better, show some cooked up on the grill. Oh, and there's nothing wrong with saying "supper". Some call it dinner others call it supper. We know what you meant.

I picked it up from a youtube comment, tried it, it's actually better than the original, there I said it! he he An added bonus is if you have any friends who don't eat pork for whatever reason , it a great way to have a similar culinary experience.
