The new Dune movies are technically better, but I still absolutely love this version. It's closest to the tone and feel of the novel. These would have been the type of costumes Herbert imagined in 1965.

This is STILL the most faithful of the three adaptations. DV’s is stunning to watch and the Feyd character in that version is truly terrifying but it lost me when Chani and Paul parted. There was no need for that. I’ve heard DV’s explanation but it rings hollow to me.
