I noticed I easily spend about 4 hours on doom scrolling a day, yes this is not great, and I have started using the principles I mentioned in this video, and I have been able to bring it down! What’s your strategy to curb phone addiction?

How to rent an accommodation without rental history in australia
@athulyanair5 ай бұрын
You could tell them what temporary visa you are in. If you have just moved in, you could show documents from India or wherever you have lived. Sometimes it helps.

@@athulyanair really you mean the rental documents of Indian house that we rented? or you mean any other documents
@athulyanair4 ай бұрын
@@poornimanatarajan8245 They always prefer Australia based documents, this is when you are trying to get your first home is Australia. 1. Reference documents from a friend who is a PR or citizen helps. 2. Document which shows your timely rental payments/mortgage payments in India may also help. 3. Having a salary slip/offer letter for jobs in Australia which mentions you’ll be veering your salary regularly also helps.

Melbourne or Perth which one is best for students?
@athulyanair5 ай бұрын
I would say both has its own pros and cons. If I am a student I would try to look at the job opportunities, and that varies depending on the field that we are in. For example- Perth is better for core engineering fields and Melbourne is better for IT and consulting. But, apart from this there are a lot of other factors as well, so pick up a city that suits your needs.

Outdoor stuff is really important as she says. I think its good for kids and will give them the tools of confidence, coordination and social to mix well in the work place. Some Indians and Chinese get their kids to do a huge amount of tutoring at the expense of life experiences and being part of a team. I think that unless you're really wanting the child to do medicine, then you don't need to do that. There are lots of opportunities to do different university courses. If you miss out on what you prefer then there are opportunities to move about at university. Remember uni is only step 1 of getting good jobs and being promoted. Ultimately its about getting on with people socially and knowing how to be part of a team. That is what will lead to promotions. So in Australia I think its important to develop the skills that are valued by Australians (and probably in many workplaces in the world too).

Hello atulya, great video.as you are South india and being in perth for a year now, could uou kindly tell a ball park figure on the monthly expenses for a family of 5 ?
@athulyanair5 ай бұрын
Not sure for a family of 5, a lot of it depends on your rent/mortgage and also your standard of living. You may watch this video to get a better idea -kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Zq2Fa7t00qvJmWg.htmlsi=QaeqTCatPIFZAoEH

Swimming is very important. So take lessons for parents and kids to be really good. The assumption is that everyone is good and you leave yourself open to risk of drowing. Experience in beach is good for that reason too. To know about waves and to avoid getting sucked out in rips etc. Just some exposure for kids and people at safe beaches help them understand the power of the ocean. My advice.
@BDub20245 ай бұрын
The Perth lifestyle is going to the beach and river. Picnics outside. It is sunny and hot for half the year. If in Perth I think its good to embrace the outside lifestyle. A lot of Asians in Australia instead do a lot of study and for recreation go shopping. Certainly, that's commonplace for new immigrants but its not really the common Australian way. For youngsters there are massive benefits from living an active lifestyle with sport, swimming and being in a team. That helps with confidence and fitting in at work and school. Swimming lessons are really important for parents and their kids. The assumption is that everyone can swim well.
@BDub20245 ай бұрын
Perth people like sport. So its a good idea to find a sport be it cricket, soccer, tennis, basketball, hockey etc. badminton is less common but played more by Asian immigrants. Watching is sport is good to connect with Australians in the office. So you have the Eagles and Dockers playing Australian rules football (AFL) every week in winter months (for about 23 weeks). AFL football is really the most popular sport in Perth and going to the matches in the stadium is worthwhile. Also Perth Wildcats for basketball is very popular. Netball (West Coast Fever) and Soccer (Perth Glory) and Rugby (Western Force) get a lot less crowds.

Perth is clean and has well maintained gardens with bins etc. But the first scene at 1:30 isn't actually Perth.

Can you suggest some places for his initial stay with good public transport??
@athulyanair7 ай бұрын
Public transport is available in most places, although frequency might differ based on the time during the day. Transperth app would be helpful, even on Google maps it shows the exact time of the buses and trains.

Thankyou

Work experience helps the most! From my experience, people here don’t really care about degrees, but rather skills that you have is always valued more. If you are wanting to study, you could go for masters from a good university or some recognised courses could help too! Without knowing about you much, it’s hard to suggest, coz these days there are a lot of courses!
