80% of the shredders out there doesn't even know who frank is, although some people like me can easily put frank on my top 5 shredders of all time.

Love Patricks playing! His recording debut was on Trumpeter Melton Mustafas " The Traveling Man " recording when Patrick was a Junior in High School! His playing, phrasing and soloing on that record was amazing! The entire album is amazing and I still pull that out and listen to it to this day! Great conversation!!!

Frank mentioned Mark Varney who was the founder and head of the Label Legato Records that introduced Frank Gambale to the world! I had the entire Legato records catalog at one time and sadly I sold a lot of it over the years! Mark had sold all the rights to Franks music back to Frank and Mark ended up buying my copy of Franks recording " A Present for the Future " from me years later as he no longer had a copy and at that time it was a pretty rare item! Doctor Thunder I am impressed with your broad interest in many musical styles! I am a Jazz ( B.A.M ) aficionado at heart and it is my strongest musical passion, but I was also at the forefront of the whole Shred movement that began in the early 80's into the present as well loving 70's era of music along with Motown and styles such as that! Glad to learn this channel exists, I have watched many of these interviews in the past and will dive into more now that I know where they are now located! Blessings to you!!!

Been a Gambale fan since he came on the scene back in the 80's on Legato Records! Brave New Guitar and MVP Truth in Shredding with Holdsworth are masterpieces that have withstood the test of time! Dr.Thunder check out Dana Rasch, he is right up there with Gambale!!! Here is a link to a track of his! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l7WEl5R12c-3mWg.html
