I also make backdrops for faux rooms as I don’t have space for an actual house. I photograph the rooms and then disassemble to store. So excited that I found your channel. I have been collecting AG since the original Pleasant Company when my three daughters were little. Great video! 😊

@@freshrain7694 thank you ☺️ I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! The lights that I have on the ceiling in some of the rooms are puck lights. You can get them at Home Depot, Lowe’s or Amazon. The ones I have are battery operated and while they do work they drain the batteries even when not in use. They require 3 AA batteries per light so it can be costly. I bought them years ago so there might be something out there now that has a longer battery life. I hope this helps 🙂 Thanks for watching and for your kind words 💕

@@agitssocute Thank you so much! I had been debating getting one custom built. Also noticed some people use the Ikea shelving. We started with the OG dollhouse however now with it built, it doesn't fit all the AG furniture! Is there a preferable width and height you found you liked more (looks like you have varying widths.

@@cristinaazzaro2744 the dollhouse is a little over 10’ long and 6’5” tall at the top of the 3rd floor. It’s about 4’3” tall at the top of the 2nd floor. Each room is a little different in size. The width is measured from inside wall to inside wall. Here are the measurements for each room 3’ 21 1/2 “ 19” 41” 10 1/2” 31” 53” 40” 22 1/2” Each room is 24” high and 24” deep. The reason for the variation in width is my daughter wanted different sizes 😊 We just kinda went with it. I haven’t ever used any IKEA shelves, but know that a lot of people do. If you have the room and it works for your budget I would suggest a custom dollhouse. I find that 24” deep and 24” high is the minimum for me. I hope this information is helpful. I apologize for taking so long in responding…things have been very chaotic at my house lately. Best wishes for your dollhouse venture 😃 Please let me know how it goes.

So I bought one locally here and he Polacca on marketplace for 15 bucks the other day I’m gonna get it all gussied up for grandbabies birthday gift. I went with beach Barbie themes. I was wanted to get some kind of beach house, but I don’t like the Barbie houses. I just think they’re plastic and cheap looking and Very cheap moneywise but you can go on marketplace and find these everywhere. Mine was pretty much empty. I don’t know where all the parts and pieces went but maybe that’s why it was only $15 but there’s other ones out there and probably gonna pick up for $40 even comes with a dollar Because they’re everywhere and I don’t see how people can get rid of them. They are just the cutest thing you live near the beach, St Augustine thank you for this video. Wonderful ideas. I am however, going to figure out what to do with the back of it I don’t know if you decorated the back I’m thinking, some kind of foliage and of course I gotta get me a turtle cause sea turtles are big out of here in Florida at the beach

Hello So I just visited the AG store at Park lane in Dallas. I kinda like the store. But I hated the location…. I parked in the garage closest to park lane and just walked till I found it. Then got turned around trying to find my car LOL. I definitely have to buy something whenever I do go just because of the inconvenience. Just sharing my thoughts…

Thank you ☺️ I purchased the bedding from a shop called Lot62designs. The store appears to not be taking orders at this time as it stated that they are taking a short break. I find that if I type 18 inch doll bedding more suggestions come up. You can also type in American Girl doll bedding. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching 💕

I’m so glad that I had the footage too! My husband and I went so that I could exchange my Isabel (I had ordered both of the twins and her wig was a bit off). I hurriedly did a walkthrough of the store. I wasn’t super happy with the footage so it’s just been on my phone. I remembered it and decided to edit it to see if it was salvageable. Editing the footage was a little different knowing the store was no longer there, it made me appreciate it more. I’m so glad I hadn’t deleted it!😅

I say that because if you Google their stores you often see pictures of the stores and it shows the old and new. The stores I Googled looked as though they had been downsized. I had one viewer say that she likes to visit the store in NYC, but that it had gone from three stories down to two and that the magic that was once palpable in the old store was missing from the new store. 🥺 AG has been losing money, from 2016 to 2023 their revenue has dropped 61% while during that same time global dollar revenue had grown by 23%. (Info from Google) Things are changing. I hope you have a wonderful day 💕

As for how AG is doing I don’t know much except that Mattel’s sales were down 1% for the first quarter of 2024, but I think overall sales are better for them than the same time last year. Sounds like you’re having some interesting weather. It’s full spring weather here with storms, but it’s a blessing to have the rain. The AG X box sounds nice! The OG Sweet Home is a lot of fun I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, it also comes with furniture!😃 Lisa, thank you for sharing your name it hasn’t been overlooked. 🙂 I have chosen to not share my name or the names of my family. Thanks for sharing. My daughter and I went to the New York store last weekend and spent lot of time talking about when she was a child and all the experiences we had together at the New York 5th Avenue store. The new New York store is smaller and not as magical. We went there regularly and it always seemed like an adventure each time. The store had three floors with the different lines on each floor. I am just glad we still have a New York store.

Nice to hear you once more; I knew that the Dallas A.G. store moved to a new location and is really nice see for the last time the old store which, as you tell, had a different magic. I don't realize to imagine how is the new location, but I suppose that is more a shop and less a fun park: I understand your disappoint, but is a sign of the times that are changing: there is more people who make shopping on line and less in the physical stores; if it is happening in Europe, let's imagine in the States. About me, I diffused the passion for these dolls more and more: there are some family friends who felt in love for them and probably I'll have to order soon some dolls at their request. It is needless tell that I love my ones always more: at this point I love them almost as daugthers; I already had to switch them to the summer outfit, but as we had an unusually cold and rainy April, they still are dressed for winter, as in my last video (I plan to post another one soon). I even began to watch the Wellie Wishers videos on the A.G. channel and find them really nice. I began to think to my fifth one and considered the Truly me 80 or a customized one if I'll not realize to find Sonali; I am anyway sure that the next has to be a dark skinned one; I'll make the step within next autumn. @@agitssocute I planned to purchase her next autumn, together with others 2-3 dolls for my friends, as I had other expenses during this period. I found two Sonali dolls for sale (used) on ebay, but each of them cost almost 600$: well then, suits me more order a customized one from A.G.; it is possible mold one identical to her which, new, costs less than half. In one way or another, she has to be my self present for next Christmas; I am not in hurry 👍. P.S.: I recently ended to read the Nanea's book; I found it really interesting and moving: it tells very well how the war could be bad and scaring, overall for quiet and innocent teenagers as her. Now I am reading the Corinne's book, which looks passioning too. I like very much this stories; probably I will purchase other their books next time.

The pendant around the neck of Molly is a present found in the Easter egg; I don’t know by you, but in Italy there is the tradition that for Easter we buy a chocolate egg, inside of which there is a surprise; Inside my egg there was this pendant, perfect for the doll.

It’s located off of North Central Expressway (75) The new store is light and bright, but I miss the size and location of the Galleria store. It doesn’t have the wow factor in my opinion. This store is more difficult to get to, which may mean that I won’t go as often. I’m glad we still have a store in the metroplex I just miss the old one. I hope you get to check it out soon and I hope you love it 😊 I would love to hear what you think of it. 💕

👋 hi,WOWWEE‼️ Never saw this 1😮.I love ur hubby's train room🤗 so Kewl thankyou 4 sharing it.I see it took alot of work + Help to get to where ur at now💁🏾♂️🤗.I saw ur kitchen and ice cream truck Nycc.Guess what I recently purchased those exact same two Playset's ☺.I been waiting awhile 4 my ice cream truck wipers to arrive from Batatt😮.I found the OG Ice Cream Truck at a yard sale by me☺ however had to purchase all it came w/ from E-Bay.Sooòo much sweet treat's and acessories came w/ this truck😮.Still need the 2 stools and 2 rack's and when the wipers arrive I'll have everything it came w/ so happy bout that.Other day i purchased OG Boy Doll Malik,love his hair which I stuck a AG pick in side of his hair.Look's so Awesome w/ that pick.Also I purchased w/ the kitchen set Locally Grown Farm Fresh Veggies 🌼 Flowers stand and a Farm Fresh Eggs 🥚 set it's so cute w/ 2 Bby chickens up in top of coop,a chicken in nest hatching 2 eggs and a Rooster, it's adorable.i still haven't gotten my AGDoll house😭.Soon by July is probably when I'll get 1. The OG Sweet Home was $315.34 but now it's on sale for $297.49 geesh so Expensive still.Idk savinv up my pennies for it🤣. I currently have 11 AG Doll's. There are so many nice details to this set. I've never seen this set up close. I had no idea that there were fabric bolts that were used for her outfits. That is such a great idea! I don't have any doll food, so I can't comment on inconsistencies. Do you mean inconsistencies in size? Thanks for sharing!

I agree, this set does have great attention to detail. I love the fabric bolts, they are so cute ☺️ Doll food is an odd thing…you’ll see one item that seems a little small and then the same company (AG for instance) makes an item that seems too large. AG has items like a bottled drink, then a piece of taffy, the candy is larger than the bottled drink. 🤦♀️ I just don’t get it. It’s that way often with 18 inch doll food. Sometimes it’s in the same brand while other times it’s that way with crossover brands. I know even real food can be different sizes, but a can of green beans (Maryellen’s airstream) and a can of spam (Nanea’s Family Market) should look like they are the correct scale. The green beans are dwarfed by the can of spam. I hope this makes sense 😂 It would just be nice if they were more consistent. I added a picture in the community section of my channel. You can see the can of spam and the can of green beans 😊

The silverware drawer divider is perfect as a shelf! I'm shocked by all of the details on the oven and fridge. They both look so great! The "Gigantic" Breakfast set is so cool. All of the sets are so cool. The peanut butter looks amazing in the celery sticks. :) I never knew that Crock Pot was like Kleenex and Xerox. Very interesting. You're right that the chicken shouldn't have grill marks. :) Your homemade Oreos are wonderful! The fridge light looks great. Actually, it's so funny seeing this whole day full of food. I've been Intermittent Fasting for 2 years and I can't imagine eating this much food anymore (even without the multiple dinners). :) Thank you for sharing all of this! Really fun!

I like the drawer divider too!🙂 I’m so glad you like the fridge and oven, the fridge is very special to me. The oven is special too because my husband and both of our daughters found it together in an antique store. It was such a fun find and it was for my youngest daughter at the time. Lots of wonderful memories. 🥹 Thank you for sharing that you didn’t know about the Crock Pot and Slow Cooker, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one ☺️ I’m so glad you like the Oreos! @@agitssocute Yes, this was all very fun, even the multiple dinners! I didn't have to eat them, so that was all good. :) I read Gin Stephen's book "Fast Feast Repeat" 2 years ago and it was so wonderful! I was doing IF wrong before I read her book, and my husband and I have been "clean fasting" ever since. Can't say enough good things about it. :)

The care of the details is really unbelieveble 🤩; the American Girl's world will never end to amaze me for how realistic goes on to be. About the inconsistency of the food packages, I didn't understand what you mean; in my opinion they are very well made and I suppose that are faithful to the real packages sold in the 40's years. In these days I began to read the history of Nanea on the book enclosed with the doll, so I know the (not always easy) relashionship between Nanea and her parents: she was treated as a little child as she was younger than her brother and sister; she wished to be useful by working in the parent's shop, but they didn't leave her to do; it is typical now as then: the children are in hurry to feel themselves older and mature, maybe a sort of self pride. Well, the Hawaii had (and still have) to be a really different world than my country and maybe ever than yours. I have to go on to read the follwing chapters of the book: there surely is a lot to discover about Nanea and her place. Thanks for sharing your video. Bye.
