I just bought this bike yesterday as broken for 850€. It wasn't ridden for 3 years. Seller didn't know why it couldn't fire up. I had to clean carbs and air filter, change spark plugs and oil, charge battery. It fired imiddietly. OMG it was so awesome. Just taken it for really short spin and I couldn't stop smiling. I have also Dragstar 1100, but it is something really different.

Hey mate, I'm in Auckland and there is a second hand almost new g30 on the market for 4000$. I was wondering if your view on this bike changed in the last year or if you would still recommend it? I can't find any other reviews on this bike beside yours so I thought I just reach out. It was always my dream to own a Himalayan but the price on the G30 is tempting. Would you recommend me to buy it or rather spend a bit more for a real royal Enfield? Cheers and keep up the good work 🤙
@roadblastmedia
@roadblastmedia 4 күн бұрын
@@gornyboy the Enfield has a better finish and looks more classic if thats what youre in to. The g30 is a great little bike though its lighter and feels faster than the Himi. $4000 is a good price for a g30 and it uses the same motor as the CFMOTO 300s so its relatively easy to get parts for aswell. Go with what your heart says!

Usefull vid thans. Only had my first motorcycle lesson the road yesterday. Its still very difficult for me to decide what i want. In the past i did road cycling and real competition on quite a high level. I could ride on those uncomfortable racing bikes for hours without feeling discomfort. But i'm really wondering if i truly want to go for a sport bike. Because in a way, it does sound stupid. BUT, they just look so freaking cool and i want one. BUT perhaps after riding on it for a year i get bored and it just sucks. You said after about 90 minutes your body starts to hurt. I'm not planning on making longer trips then 90 minutes so i wonder how uncomfortable a sports bike would be for me. Perhaps with my past experience and a cyclist (And i still work out a lot, core stability training etc that helps with things like this) its not that bad for me? I'm willing to trade in some discomfort but i have no idea how bad it is. I think i should just go to a store and at least sit on one of them to get an idea. I can imagine it being more comfortable then a racing road bike (Tour the france bike i mean). But it could also be a bit worse.
@roadblastmedia
@roadblastmedia 19 күн бұрын
@@jameswayton2340 heya mate! Yeah out of all motorcycles theyre the most uncomfortable on average but thats mainly the 600 class bikes. 300-400-650 are all reasonably comfortable for ling distance trips. 1000cc sportbikes are better than 600s but still pretty bad after a while. Go with what speaks to you and listen to your gut. Sport bikes are awesome but so are alot of other styles of bike too. Try ride and try as many different kinds as possible before making up your mind! Ive been through about 12 different bikes myself and ridden over 100 different bikes and have now found I prefer a more naked style of bike!
@jameswayton2340
@jameswayton2340 17 күн бұрын
@@roadblastmedia Hey thanks a lot for your reply that really helps. I had no idea that the smaller cc bikes are morecomfortable then 600 but 1000cc is better then 600cc? Do mind i'm super noob right now who's interest is just growing with every day passing, but i still have no clue about bikes haha. Meanwhile my Cousin told me that if i really want a sportbike i should probably not go higher then a 600. Doing that is already pushing it as a noob and having more power then that for a beginner is just plain stupid. But out of all the bikes i have seen its these sport bikes that i just fall in love with hard. So much that visually i don't want anything else. But i might regret that choice later.
@roadblastmedia
@roadblastmedia 17 күн бұрын
@@jameswayton2340 fair enough mate yeah even something like a yamaha R7, CFMOTO 450SR Honda CBR650 are great beginner bikes without being too slow and still give the sporty look, if you do want to go full out sportbike. Get a Daytona 675 or 765. Theyre fast as hell. But a little easier power curve to live with compared to a 600cc 4 cylinder. Not comfortable by any means but that doesnt matter when it looks so good!

@@roadblastmedia Thanks a lot for the tips. I will note those down. Still have to get my licence first. Second lesson went well (In the netherlands) and four weeks from now i have my exam. And then later this year when prices will drop will look for a motorcycle. I'm probably alright with less comfort.

About 7:10 he pulls. But his commentary is worth listening to! This is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. All bikes now have 100mph graphics when most of them would be very dangerous at those speeds. I think used long time owners have low miles on this beast because is faster than most riders can handle: it’s a bonafide death machine 😅🎉😂.

I think people buy them largely because they look cool, and, most importantly, offer tremendous value compared to the competition.. Triumph's twins are beautiful machines, but priced out of reach for many riders. The RE is about 80% of a Triumph in performance and build quality, at about 50% of the price. For many riders, that's hard to beat. But for me, they're too heavy (so are the Triumph twins) and they need a bit more power. If they could coax the engine up to about 60Hp and drop about 40 lbs. off the weight, they'd literally own the entire retro parallel twin segment. The old British twins rarely broke 400lbs weight, and these bikes today are closer to 500. That's just unacceptable. I value handling and response over acceleration, so I bought a Triumph Speed 400. It weighs about 370lb. wet, and is easy to control and a blast to ride. Only 40 HP, but with 100lb less weight, it's close in acceleration to the Interceptor.

... there's no need to shout ! I own an Interceptor, but there is so much work to do to bring them to a good standard ... what comes from the factory is, sorry to say, not really worth the money. My first bike in 1976 was a Redditch bult Constellation 700 from 1959. This was a much better bike. Ive rode a few 100.000 of kilometres on two wheels since I've started in 1976, most on 4-cilinders with around 100 PS or more. The 650 would be my last bike in that life ... and they is what I've awaited ... but not more
