@brittanycole8140 I am so new to machine knitting and knitting itself... I wish I could answer your question, but the sentro knitting machine that I have does not have a counter window. Next time when I do a knitting project, I will be sure to count the rows. I just sort of stopped when I liked the size of the hat. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!😀

I am about to do this to the same forge. Great video. Any reason you coated the firebrick in satanite instead of leaving it easily replaceable?
@tranquilmentor22 күн бұрын
Coating the firebrick was just a choice at the time because we thought we would get longer life out of the brick. But leaving the brick easily replaceable would be a good option. We hope that helps. 😀Thanks for your question and thanks for watching our video.

did you not know that you do not have to laminate your Oracal 651 to be able to sublimate on it? no do you need to use sublimation vinyl on top.. you can successfully sublimate on Oracal 651 without adding a leyer of anything, you are wasting materials using the laminate and the sublimation vinyl, Oracal 651 works just fine by its self.
@suemagruder4455Ай бұрын
Do you use the laminate to protect the transfered image if I'm doing this for a car exterior?
@tranquilmentor22 күн бұрын
@@suemagruder4455 No, I did not use laminate over the transfered image. But, I have used the clear oracal 651 to protect the transferred image for decals on my car window and it holds up very well. It's not shown in this video, but what I did was made an offset image in cricut design space and cut it out on the cricut vinyl cutter and just put it over the decal on my car window to protect it. That works for me. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
@tranquilmentor22 күн бұрын
This purpose of the video is to TEST four different methods of making vinyl sublimation decals. It's just a test to see what methods may fit each individual's different needs. Some people like the vintage look and some people like the vivid colors of the walasub sublimation vinyl.

You did an outstanding job with your video and narration, Although I don’t think I would have applied the retardant mortar on the brick just because of over time of having to replace it because they do become brittle over time and I have had to get new ones, just my two cents but the mortar may keep this from happening perhaps. But none the less outstanding job and a credit to the hobby no doubt.

Hi did you have any issues with the cuts not lining up? I got the extension kit installed a couple days ago and I've been having issues with it not cutting circles (turns to ovals) and the cuts not lining up or not being able to make correct curves.
@tranquilmentor2 ай бұрын
It sounds like one of your belts is too tight or too loose. You may need to adjust your eccentric nut or your belts. Check out the video we have put below for help on how to make these adjustments. The title of the video in case the link does not work is... How to adjust the Eccentric Nut and the Belt about Atezr Laser Engraver. It's on Atezr's KZfaq channel and even though it is the not the extension you should be able to apply it to the extension. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rJpmodCLvLesZ6s.htmlsi=ae3Bm9fYjRhrRcZb I will also link this video in the description so you can find it... Hope this helps! 😀

@@tranquilmentor I’ve tried it all 😩 I’ve spent 2 days and have: 1. Loosen and tightened belts to correct setting. 2. Loosen and tightened eccentric notes to correct setting. 3. Made sure the frame was squared. 4. Made sure the gantry was square. It sucks because before rhe extension everything worked flawlessly
@tranquilmentor2 ай бұрын
@@tamaramarrero9024 Sorry you are going through this ... it can be frustrating. Not sure if this would help but maybe you can check the rod and make sure its tight. The rod may be loose or too tight. It may be slipping. And maybe when you run the cut again you can position yourself right in front of the laser where you can see what the problem is. Look really close to see if you can find where it is messing up. Another thing that we did was we put the entire laser on a 3/4 inch piece of MDF which was not cheap and we made sure that the table was level by checking it with a level. We ended up having to add some shims to the back. Hope this helps!

I wish I saw this sooner I already applied the satanite but no video before yours spoke about a rigidizer so I never used any. Do you think it would be alright if I did not use rigidizer?
@-MissNox-4 ай бұрын
Hey Arkon. With what i saw/heard, rigidizer isn't needed when you apply satanite onto to the kaowool to protect it, all it does in that process is to make it easier to apply the satanite because the kaowool will be sturdy. If you would build a forge without any refractory tho, the rigidizer is needed to protect the Kaowool from mechanical wear and more importantly protect your lungs from loose flying Kaowool particals getting pushed out of the forge by movement and airflow. Cheers and Happy Forging
@arkonwolves71924 ай бұрын
@@-MissNox- Thanks! I supposed that was the case but figured I should ask.
@tranquilmentor4 ай бұрын
@arkonvolves7192 Hello Arkon, The rigidizer makes the Kaowool firm which gives the satanite a stable platform to bond to. As the satanite breaks down during use, the rigidizer also ensures that the kaowool particles are not airborne possibly getting into your respiratory system. Eventually the satanite will need to be replaced. We have used ours for over a year now and the satanite is starting to crack and will need to be re-applied. We appreciate your question and especially thanks for watching our video!😀
