I just bought mine today and before my 4th attempted shot the pellet got jammed between the clip and the chamber and not I can't fire it and I can't get the clip out... I don't even know how to get it unstuck. Also very disappointed in the gun
@reelchef6729 күн бұрын
Stock barrel bands are the wrong spec and force the barrel down. On a short barrel chaser a free floating barrel is fine. no barrel band is needed, Your accuracy increase are from the chamber leade polishing you did. The stock chamber shreds pellets skirts causing accuracy problems. My free floating barrel chaser will stack pellets without any flyers.

Thanks, very informative video 👍 I'm looking to buy the 6mm BB (airsoft) version anyway, so I guess I'll be getting a 6mm inner barrel with the full length (except the small section of fake .44 at the very front of course). I think the reason they are making the smaller .177 (4.5mm) barrels shorter is because there are so many models - 3", 6.5" and 8.3" and then all of these in 3 calibres - 6mm BB, 4.5mm BB and rifled for .177 palettes - so it's not practical to have 9 different barrels and they made 5-6 and are adding a 6mm piece for the rest of the length.

you can change the barrel to fire pellets that are rifles , also , i just learned the barra sells the rifled barrels for their scofields now , i wish had gotten this and scofield when walmart marked them down to 75% off a couple or few yrs back !

It is DA/SA. Best guess on trigger weight is about 5 lbs SA and 7 lbs DA, but that is for my particular unit.

Me personally, I enjoy the finish of the turn marks with the contrasting view on the cylinder, but that’s just personal preference. I have very limited metal working experience so that’s natural. I just got myself one of these, I’m loving the insight to things I wouldn’t have noticed, great video
@VipersVideosАй бұрын
I totally understand the contrasting view and actually it's not a bad look to me either. Just like anything though in manufacturing parts will vary, and some turn marks will be deeper and some more shallow. Deeper ones you can actually feel and will pick up dirt and grime through use is what I was more griping about. That with the short rifled barrel sent me into a nit pickey rant mode..lol

Just wanted to tell you, in case you're unaware, that ASG Blaster makes, what is essentially, a .177 caliber plastic airsoft bb. They only weigh .17 g and fly out of a gun like this or the Colt Python that Umarex makes. They are a little pricey and were once only sold in the UK, but now they are on Amazon. I shoot them all the time and they can be reused. I typically set up a line of ten of those little Dixie Cups that you drink mouth wash from and shoot them down at 8 or 9 yards. Because they have so little mass, the pellets won't penetrate a light fleece blanket used as a back stop, in spite of screaming out of the gun. Form up the bottom of the blanket into a funnel shape and they drop into a cardboard box to be reused. This can be done right inside the living room or rec room with little risk of damage, even if a bad miss caused a ricochet. It's action shooting at its best with no mess to deal with. You should try it. Set up two rows of cups and lend a buddy a one of these inexpensive guns and you've got a real shootin' match to see who clears the most cups fastest with one cylinder of BBs.
@VipersVideos3 ай бұрын
I was aware of them but also unaware they are now sold on Amazon. I'll have to look into trying them out. Thanks!

Move to 25 yards and you will see why people have a hard time w them, ive put about 1000 rounds through mine n i group at like 2-4 inches ctc at 25 yards which isnt hunting effecting in my book, and just because its a larger caliber doesent always mean easier kills, this gun is effective at 20 yard max and thats my personal opinion, also have a scope that cost more than the rifle so i know it isnt my shooting, that being said this gun comes with some pretty nice iron sights which i heard using them over a scope makes it more accurate from less recoil, not sure how true that is but it might be worth a shot. Im currently zeroing mine in today at 15 yards because of how inaccurate it was at 25

As an ex machinist, how would you go about boring out the 6" fake barrel to accept a full length 5.5" 177 liner? Is that possible or is it just too precise for the average machinist to do? As in you'd need some specialised tooling or something. I'd considered doing this with just a hss bit in a pillar drill and then loctite the liner in situ after indexing using . If I recall, there's 2 takedown pins holding the whole front end and barrel onto the gun. You could bet your life that if you could get a full length rifled barrel liner installed like something out of an fx impact, that the accuracy would be fantasic with diabolo pellets. Currently sitting at 2ft/lbs and the limit in the UK is 6ft/lbs there's plenty of additional performance to be had.
@VipersVideos6 ай бұрын
I was a machinist a long time ago with only older styled manual equip, like just lathes and vertical mills, etc. Long retired from that role, I have no access to any machining equip and only have a couple drill presses in my barn. Anyway, all you'd have to do is take the inner barrel assembly out, measure length, steps, diameters, then find a donor barrel sufficiently over sized oal and diameter, and access a lathe to recreate the inner barrel assembly with dimensions, profile, etc., into the new one piece rifled barrel, and then just fit it back into the barrel shroud and frame. I did this very thing (very crude job of course) using my drill press, files, and sand paper. Again, no lathe available to me so I used what I had. Here's the vid: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLphg6uVyLC5nas.htmlfeature=shared

@@VipersVideos that's really interesting! Thanks. I was going to try and find just a basic mill guy and see if he could do it. Wasn't sure if it was something you'd have to get a specialist to do. I guess getting it set so the point of impact right is the hard part. I had no idea you'd already done this. 👍

@VipersVideos6 ай бұрын
Yes the h-o stuff is punishing in this config especially w/o rubber grips. The least punishing I've found is most rounds made for/as "cowboy action loads". Typically 200 -240 gr from about 750-800 fps. Still not fun to shoot but not as punishing.

In terms of home defense which is better with this gun, pellets or bbs?

None, as this would not be an effective or recommended hd method, unless just seeing it might deter some. That said however, bbs would typically penetrate deeper in many mediums.

Hello, there. What size and kind of rug did you get for this pistol, please?

It's a case made by Bulldog. I've had it over 10 years. It originally came new with a Century Arms C93P 5.56 pistol which is a firearm. I no longer have the firearm but have the case. I use it for many other pistols, not just the bandit. The closest style would probably be for an AR type pistol.

I don't have an final opinion as I've not seen/shot a PP 800, but I have read they (Bandit and PP 800) are basically the same gun made in China by Snowpeak. Trial and error after doing as much research on other owners reviews on them slugging their barrels, and then trying two different LEE bullet sizing dies. I bought both of mine used so have no idea when they were made. Maybe the short rifling versions are made for countries like UK where there's an energy limit for license free airguns?
