I think these were around 10 miles, but I know they come a lot closer. I think it depends on location and time of year (the above video was early October)

@@wightwaterangling9859 I've recently moored my boat at keyhaven. I'm looking at getting out next week. I've not fished it this time of year there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 👍

@@honestjohntravels we are out of IOW so not sure about that area - I think you’d need to get a fair way out this time of year (25nm+) and in ~200ft

@@wightwaterangling9859 okay cool I've been out to the deep water off St Catherine's point a few times in the summer . she does 30 knotts so we can get out there quick. maybe we should hit a few wrecks out there see what's about. sounds like a plan nice one 👍

Wight Water Angling cool. I'm off to Iceland next year and I've just bought the big shad version 300-600g vertical and was looking at getting one of the lighter spinning rods too. Was thinking of getting the 25-80g model
@wightwaterangling9859

I didn't realise they did a heavier version - we just got back from Florida & these rods were excellent, although a little light on some of the species out there! I need a 50-150g version!

Wight Water Angling sounds brilliant! Yeah, they do a 400g one and a 600g one. 60lb and 80lb line rated respectively. Not sure wether to buy the 25-80g 8'4" or the 15-65g 7'4" version. Looking to use it for coal fish up to 30lb
