Brought a tear to the eye! Such a beautiful, rocking and soulful Rod rendition of his idol's Sam Cooke heartfelt tune. Of a younger Rod who could move. Of the now-departed Ian "Mac" McLagan working his magic on the Hammond B-3. Bless their cotton socks.

Just saw Rod in Paris 3 weeks ago, and this soul was missing. Rod still needs Mac, downing a pint in Rock n Roll Heaven.

It was Toots Thielemans' harmonica that played so movingly in the closing credits of the 1969 film "Midnight Cowboy." R.I.P. Toots.

I was also there! Went with my roommates and buddies. When he came out dressed as the duck..we all were like what! 😂 Had some memorable concerts in Central Park.

He's got that kind of voice whenever you hear it, you think, yeah it's pretty good. That's because we expect it from him, we're use to it and don't want anything less. Now whenever you compare his voice to other artist. It's more pleasing with wide range and incredible tempo, Harmony and perfect rhythm. That's what makes him who he is with his incredible talent. Beautiful stuff indeed.

I loved this band. They had so many hits in the early 70's. It's funny how they go almost forgotten now. Keep their memory alive with these videos.

One of my favorite '70s groups primarily for Larry Evoy's love songs. Interesting how they appear to be playing along to the record but without the doubling of his voice & the strings. Wish they'd put a good compilation of their work on vinyl like the Edward Bear Collection they released around '91

What made her version really special was the backup vocal (a la "Life Goes On") and the piano arrangement, all of which were absent in this performance. Still, Anne Murray was flawless.
