Kendrick’s “GKMC”, J. Cole’s “2014 FHD” & Joey Bada$$ “1999” are the Illmatic’s of my generation.

i remember listening to this album as a 13 year old on repeat, it’s what got me into hip hop, my dad used to complain about the swearing and call it “crap with a silent c”. it’s still one of my all time favourites

the way the astroworld tragedy was described is actually my worst nightmare

My opinion is KANYE is difficult because he is constantly telling us chaos and order are inseparable, they are an issue when we believe that one can exist without the other, it’s what puts us in a position where we are willing to accept the concept of event horizon even though there’s no proof of the what actually happens, but we loose our minds at the mere thought of we can have different beliefs and still coexist…we are constantly forcing reality to fit our concepts and it’s always bursting at the seams

In my opinion, we have simplified the unsimplifiable, so we can coexist easier, even though it’s constantly and has constantly not worked ever…every generation we see humans that just cannot accept the concept and they challenge what’s real ie newton, Einstein, Vincent van Gogh, can you imagine the guy that came up with concept of telephone? they must have just died laughing!!

Astroworld was the best album released that year, by far, in any category. Cardi B winning over astro is the most disgusting political bullshit ever I don't understand how anyone still values the grammys.

I started listening to this man in 2013. He’s my favorite artist of all time and with 4 phenomenal albums, 3 mixtapes and hella more deep cuts, it actually hurt not seeing him bring it home, though we know the Grammys been rigged. I truthfully he’ll go down in history with what he’s done and continues to do.

It’s so weird seeing how he so often said things as fact about himself and how he is only for years later for him to become the opposite of all those things he said. Just for example how he said he’s always positive and that’s why etc etc etc. but man, he’s been so negative so many times in the following years. Losing his mom changed everything for him and he hasn’t been the same since

Travis literally put his heart and soul into astroworld, lost, then proceeded to do it again with even more effort with Utopia, and still lost. I would say IDK if he can beat Utopia next but if he could make two of the greatest hip hop albums back to back I won't doubt him to do a 3 peat
