Nice idea to spend less, you have to earn enough to cover expenses. In my career as an occupational therapist I never earned enough hence pivoting to figure out how to earn so that I can live and have stability and not only help others. It's no fun taking care of others with an empty refrigerator because you did not get paid. Part of financial freedom has to be earning enough.

Very true. There needs to be enough for you to live on. I pray much wisdom to you as you approach this situation and find the way through which enables a better life for you and those you are helping.

Hello, Thanks it was very clear but the only comment is why you didn't talk about Weaknesses?
@bctaylor Жыл бұрын
Hi Salah. I touch briefly on them at 1:50 in the video and generally mention before that we should use our strengths to mitigate weaknesses. There are at least two philosophies or approaches here. One is we lift up our weaknesses and spend time and energy doing that, the other is that one can use your strengths and other peoples strengths (team work) to cover the weaknesses and get a better return on energy and time used. I tend to focus on the latter… What do you think?

As a business owner I Understand what he means. We gotta have weekly meeting and be sure to let co-workers know how they are an asset to the business. Im in sales and I. Think the training is where you should be best at. Also never picking sides.. never favoring one over the other. Be sure to let the employees know that if its best to turnover your client to another co-worker so as a team we don’t loose the sale. My issue is how does someone do so without getting the employees mad.

Fantastic to hear you thoughts and experiences. Very good and yes it is hard to change client ownership but the more you do it the more the culture changes and everyone accepts it until it is just the way things are done, or at least that I want I have experienced. Thank you for sharing!!!

I'm about to come a leader of my entire school how can I be brave to take in charge because I'm skade of speaking up to people that I do not know. I do not have enough confidence to leave the entire school and be a great leader I need help what can I do to become a great leader.😢
@bctaylor2 жыл бұрын
@Zaveion. The easiest way to lead is to take it one step at a time and to serve people. The greatest leaders always found a way to help and make things right. Look for opportunity to help and bring about change that will ensure the students lives are better. Find trust worthy people and ask them to help you on the mission… all the best and congratulation!

@@bctaylor I am trying to do a SWOT for my career which will help me determine a future action plan. Is there a list of skills that I can refer ? Maybe a link to an article or a video ? Thank you
@bctaylor2 жыл бұрын
@@vishalmakhija924 I guess it depends on the industry (each can have some important specifics around technical knowledge or similar) If you have a good manager you can sit down and ask. “I want to grow. What are the critical skills and attitudes or values I would need as xyz?” This way you get what you current company is expecting. if it is towards management more generally then this is a good list Interpersonal skills. Communication and motivation. Organisation and delegation. Forward planning and strategic thinking. Problem solving and decision-making. Commercial awareness. Mentoring. From Prospect AC. I have created leadership videos which covers these in more detail and with practical experience.

Very informative video, clear and concise. On the foundation of trust, one thing I believe what makes a good leader is making confident decisions. If asked a question, I will give a confident answer, "Here is how WE deal with the problem."
@bctaylor2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is important we make decisions. Nothing worse than having a leader but when asked to make the call on something they hide away from the responsibility of it. Thanks for the very interesting comment!
