In response to how to address adults I'm totally with you. There is no scenario in which my child will address ANY adult without a mr or mrs before their name. If they are close to the family they can get away with _mr or mrs first name_ otherwise it's the last name. Even now that my nieces and nephews are older they don't even call me aunt, just my name... that also irks me. Manners are just not as widely taught anymore.

On my mom’s side of the family we call everyone by their first name. My friends thought I was in trouble because I called my mom by her first name at cheer practice 😂😂. My kids are very respectful and well mannered but they are definitely allowed to call their dad and me by our first names. Although they just do it to be “funny”.

Im single and on an isolated journey of growth to be closer to God, debt free by the end of the year and re-enroll in college for my masters, my dad lives out of state, and I don’t have kids yet so these are so lovely to watch during lonely times.
