The thing is that I saw Ozzy in 96 and he was a jibbering mess and even though with great musicians behind him he should have retired a long time ago but but look how well he did for 25 years afterwards….. it’s a bad example I know but had to be mentioned

Clancy is already my favorite album by them. I didn't listen to them since 2017 until I heard Next Semester, and I was instantly reeled back in. I wasn't a super big fan of any other albums except Blurryface, and I really don't know SAI or Trench. The only snoozers (still good) on here were Midwest Indigo and Oldies Station. Personal favorites - Next Semester, Vignette, Lavish, Snap Back.

what is missed out in this is while Spotify may bay 7.50 per 1000 streams this in reality does not equate to 1000 times a person listens to the track at all because it is only counted as a stream at 31 seconds in and bearing in mind what a skip culture streaming has turned the public into, in reality you would need more like a 100 thousand to select the track to get the 7.50 off spotify which for many artists is not realistic, the only real earners from streaming is the platform because with the exception of a few major artists both labels and artists earn next to nothings from streaming, however this is also having a detrimental effect in that record companies now will not invest in artists anymore (certainly not to the same level as before streaming) as its likely they will not earn much back from them from people actually listening to their music, instead focus is shifted into things like sponsorship/commercials/merch etc it also effects how artists make music as they will try to cram in as much into the first 30 seconds to stop people skipping leading to more and more songs that are more throwaway then deep meaningful tracks with length. Streaming was a knee jerk reaction to combat piracy and while I admit piracy was not ok and did have a slight damaging effect to the music industry it was nowhere near the detrimental effect streaming has had on the music industry.

Agree with you on Maybe You're Right being a weak little pause before Someone Else (maybe the best album closer in her discography? Almost definitely). The bonus track Rooting For My Baby should've had its spot on the album; it has the perfect somber vibe to lead into Someone Else, and is in my opinion way stronger than Maybe You're Right. Not as intense as Someone Else, but it has its own kind of lingering hold that Maybe You're Right just doesn't.

Drive and Somebody Else are the only Miley Cyrus songs currently saved on my Spotify from long ago despie having her album Breakout on CD <3. I'd venture to say I meant to save Adore You or did then accidentally unsaved it at some point because I certainly know and like that song. Appreciate your take on Wrecking Ball and the new overall score :)

You should check out the album “Misery Is A Butterfly” by Blonde Redhead, it’s such a beautiful album and it’s one of my main 3 sad albums I like to listen to. The other two sad albums I love being “Pinkerton” by Weezer and “October Rust” by Type O Negative
