When I first started learning about DND, I didn't know much about Kobolds, but my first character ended up being a 5e Volo's kobold lvl 7 cavalier. I still look back at that character as the most fun, even though they lost pack tactics in MotM, I think they're my favorite race.

It’s so weird how Sam’s female voice for Nott had just become so perfect for her. I can’t imagine anyone else doing her voice now. And his voice isn’t super feminine but weirdly it still works. It’s his inflection, it does 80% of the work and the higher pitch does the rest.

Hey, I watched this video when it came out four years ago, and I went out of my way to find it again. This is the most well done monster series I've seen. The illustrations are stupendous. Watching this inspires my imagination, I'll be running a hell portal based one shot for my group soon, and I'm really glad to have this as a framework. I hope all is well with you, and I hope that you find joy in whatever you are doing now.

i would make the water breathing increase by .5-1 hour of time. if you use 5 minutes if the water breathing, will it only need to recover those 5 minutes or does it only refresh after all the time is used up?

This is actually really interesting, from a DM-ing perspective: This encounter is unusual, because the players aren't supposed to fight and kill the giants; they're meant to get from one end of this cavern to the other, as fast as possible, without dying. However, the players don't necessarily *know* that. Without knowledge of Fire Giants, their stat block, and their challenge rating, it'd be very easy for them to make the mistake of just fighting these things head-on, and then probably die. But by having Spurt rush in and get pulverized by the giants, the players got to see how high these guys roll, and how much damage they do, and then they conclude that there is no way they can possibly kill these guys, and now they understand the encounter. It's just such a cool bit of communication-without-talking, and I love seeing that sort of thing in game design!

this would make a amazing homebrew race, if your in a enviroment for 3 days you get a bonus, a week another and a third at a month at 3 days your racial bonus stats shift, at a week you get a movment abilities (a climb swim or burrow speed) and at a month you get the other unique thing (like damage reduction for mountain goblins)

Something tells me that someone is going to make a Kobold character and name him Spike at some point.

my dnd character ADORES goblins! he considers himself there king (also he looks like david bowie) and so every group of goblins he encounters he finds a way to befriend them and even sometimes gets them to join the party, also he has a goblin girlfriend he keeps in the pocket dimension in his hat, and yes in game i crafted myself a magic hat that i use as an apartment
