This drone is so small you can carry this in your backpack. If you get lost in the wilderness the drone can help you find your way out.

I just dug mine out to check on batteries and make sure they were still chargeable. They were. There is now an Android app that defeats the geofence and will let the drone fly about 1/4 mile or so. This probably exceeds the range of the camera transmission. These were actually nice little drones, I never understand why Yuneec intentionally crippled them with the geofence. I understand the selfie intention, but there was no reason they could not have sold a lot more without the limitations. I plan to fly a few batteries through mine. I wish they would have packaged it with a more useful carrying case, maybe a shoulder bag type, since it will fly without a controller and is fairly light for vacation usage / hiking / etc.

So the range of the DJI Mini 4 Pro is the same as the DJI Mini 2, that sells for like 8% of the price. Good to know I dodged a bullet by not upgrading.

I think you should paint your drone orange if you are going to continue testing the range and make it easier to find.

Should have just drove away and left it flying in an opening. You may have exhausted the range by that point before exhausting the battery. Or Fly it to 50% on a pre-planned flight route, land it, send a party to go and swap a battery right then and there. Then continue flying. Sorry about the loss. I have the Mini 4 Pro and I really like it. Looking at the 4k footage is a treat on a desktop. Thanks for the video and sacrificing your drone.

It auto switched back out of sport mode to normal mode when the auto return home took over on the second test @ 30:29

U have to be in a more high altitude n them change to planes mode or else u be crashing everytime whe ur high it gives more time to the plane to respond i have is a very nice plane

Definitely needed another person down range keeping a close eye on drone. Personally I think as people were there in area of test and landing/ crash . They probably took it .
