I moved to Studio One from Pro Tools after 20 years using the Avid platform and I trialled everything. I haven't had any of the bug issues that you mention and for about £3 a week you get everything in the Presonus universe and that is HUGE.

My question is simply this, in the beginning of your tutorial you hit the sync button once on each CDJ. Is this something you only do once or do you have to hit the sink button again throughout your set?

I started with Magix, than FL Studio and Mixcraft. I am probably never going to live FL Studio. Just the few things that does well keep me there. Who knows.

Hey, thanks for the tutorial. I had a setup last week where I couldn't hold down the cue button and release the track with the play button. Was this due to the settings or was the CDJ possibly broken? I first had to let go of the cue button and then the play button to be able to release the track.

Ableton is very intuitive, very easy to use. For me is the best for any genre!

I use FL for dub music. That includes recording guitars and bass. It really isn’t as bad for recording as people say!

you need to be really precise in the grid for the 4 beat button exact? for in and out for example if you registered well on rekordbox also if is not precise he will in automatic create a perfect loop, thanks

I think Pro Tools is the most used because of his "Beat Detective" function. It's true that a drum performance is better if left natural to preserve all the nuances of the musician, but in professional studios that deal with pop (and metal, at the other extreme) it is the norm to quantize everything. If you have to do this process daily and therefore optimize your time, nothing beats Beat Detective.

Hi Dexxter I saw somewhere that with rekordbox I can have a .txt file where rekordbox writes the track that is playing at that moment. I need this .txt file to open it with OBS studio and this way I can show in the stream what track I am playing. How do I get this famous txt file. ? I had Sonar Platinum for years before Gibson dumped it and BandLab took it over as "Cakewalk by BandLab." The BandLab version is not quite as feature rich as Sonar, so I never switched over to it. I went with Cubase instead after playing around with Logic Pro, but Sonar remains my all time favorite DAW.

Luna should be on that list up near the best. They took the DAW to a new level with the Summing and Tape saturation and console emulation slots built in the channel for unison plugins and it sounds incredible .And it's super easy to navigate and the UI is state of the art. I get that u asked engineers and producers and u compiled the list from their answers. In a couple years if u did it again I think it will be on the list. Anyone who uses an Apollo has LUNA so I can't see them not trying it. I use Pro Tools, Studio One and Luna and Luna is the best in my opion. And it's rock solid. NEVER CRASHES LIKE PT!

I personally use Cubase 13, and I love it. 3 Pros. -Very nice layout, with easy to access interfaces. -High Audio output, plus high quality presets (if bought). -Best DAW for any Cinematic Arrangements or Blockbuster film arrangements. 3 Cons: -Fairly Long Download process. -You have to buy some presets. -Limited tracks (dependent on plan).

by this video i guess you and who voted dont understand a lot about daws lol if you cant use cubase doesnt mean isnt good... is the best! as logic too, and i never had bugs on logic, so you should think about your pc lol live is so poor, it crashes very often, FL is better but they are very good softwares, in fact they are both slaves, cubase and logic are master softwares, it should say a lot already... btw it means I could use both live and fl inside my cubase or logic project, but you cant do the opposite... power is power... kisses

I got CUBASE when I bought a DMK 25. But I have no idea how to use it. It looks complex. Music maker is easy to understand. Mostly. But I need something that actually supports my DMK. It works, but things are, off a bit.
